What does she want from me now that she has stated unequivocally that she intends to be involved with me? Would it be revenge? Or is it something more deadly...? I struck up a conversation with my uneasiness as we exited the carriage and strolled down the corridors.

"Care to think, Brother? What does she want from me?" I questioned, looking at him eagerly. "What does she want? That's what I am contemplating about,"

"Have perhaps, heard of her, whether it would be rumors or stories to tell. I would like to know more," His forehead creased, "Why are you interested?"

"Nothing much, however, we should keep our friends close and our enemies closer," I averted the question for him to tell more, he seemed hesitant to say it; still, with my constant stare at him, the man gave up and sighed deeply, "Well, from the rumors, the Lady was locked up for years in their residence and basing from her experience she wanted freedom,"

My eyes widened, "Moreover, she was destined to marry the nephew of Count Barett, The Right Honorable, Lord, Ioannis Demeas of Krubet, after the engagement was publicly announced, she ran away from her House," He continued explaining, "And after that, I've heard tons of rumors from the town of how the Lord Demeas was dating a Lady after the other, he had several engagements after, and broke them off one after the other,"

"You should know by now the reason of my constant avoidance, and it is all because of you!"

The Lady was avoiding the Lord; it is what she said earlier. She wanted freedom after they locked her up. "What are you thinking about?" He asked; I did not notice that I dozed off and was looking at the air, "No, nothing,"

It must have been difficult for the Lady to grow up because she must have felt hatred, rage, and dread, unlike me, who grew up pampered. She went away, refusing commands for the first time, and they were not forcing her back.

From what I have known, she was difficult to persuade and will not return even if an emperor tells her to do so. Given her strong and independent personality, I expected that Lady would not back out without a fight.

She grew up with scars from her House; it was a desire she desperately longed for. Life is short; she wanted to be free and enjoy her life without her relatives bugging her. She was not the only one who wanted freedom, every Noble of every House all deserved freedom, if not only for their ties.

With no works left, I went to my chamber, only to see Foivi fixing up the bedroom, "My Lady, you're finally back!" The woman greeted me with delightful smiles, "Should I prepare some tea? It seems like work was tough on you," I heaved a sigh.

"Yes, thank you," Bowing, she walked out of the room, "What's this?" A letter caught my attention, slipped into the balcony in haste.

It had no stamps and seemed like it was put in haste as if they were running away from something. After looking at it, I saw its contents; I wondered who the mysterious sender was.

Ylury,

Lady Eva Maria Del Mar Rabellino,

I do not know whether you will read this. If you are wondering who sent this letter, you probably know who am I. We just met recently; the House of Rabellino is in a deep feud with where I am from; I will not state my name. Would you hang out with me tomorrow?

After what happened recently, there would be a huge conference that will involve the Heads of the Bureau, and we administrators are not part of it. Since I am in charge of you, I plan to take you with me with the fieldwork.

I cannot send a carriage since I cannot do so. Let us meet at Augury Square at midday. I will be waiting for your arrival; I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Lady V.

Someone I recently met, with the initials and how she stated that my House is in a deep feud with hers, the first person that came into my mind was Lady Ninia Vasilas. What was she planning about for her to lead at this resort?

Before that day, I looked at my Family's schedule; if this is not related to work, they will surely refuse to let me go, knowing that Lady Vasilas is involved, they will forbid me to meet her even if I say that this partly concerns work.

I packed items that were necessary for the fieldwork or what she called it. I wore comfortable clothes and walked out of my chamber like a spy that could die at any moment if someone saw me wandering out, knowing that I did not have anything on my plate for this day.

However, as I was about to step out further, I heard a voice behind me, "My Lady, where are you going?" I slowly turned around and saw guards behind me. I overlooked and forgot that guards were tailing me while some roamed around the estate. "You have nothing on your schedule for today," One continued.

Several guards are assigned to me and tend to me at all times, "I- O am going for a walk, I feel suffocated inside my room," I coughed, pretending an act. "Is there a problem?" I stood straight and questioned them.

They looked at each other and shook their head, "Nothing, My Lady. Then, we will follow you as usual," They bowed, lowering their heads, "Oh- all right,"

I cannot run away with them following me around. With every step that I made, the guards will surely lead me to another path that would be the best path to take. They were always right behind me, so I had no chance to run away.

As we stopped in the garden, I turned around and faced them, "Can you distance yourself from me? Give me space?" They returned a sharp gaze, "That is not possible, My Lady,"
