I then heard my Father clearing his throat, "Maria will not make the final choice and whether she likes it or not, I have the final say on everything that happens." The Noble's glare intensified as he looked at the young man, "No, Noble Rabellino, it's not what it looks like,"

"I can assure you the Lady's safety and well-being, please do not worry," Father's eyebrows raised with his remark, "And how can you say so when you are clearly from the House of Schleswig?"

"Pack Maria's clothes and throw her out of the Residence!" My eyes widened in shock with what I heard, "Father!" I voiced out as tears started to form in my eyes.

"I do not want to see any of her belongings in my House!" He shouted, "N- No, Father! I- It's not what you think it is," Five soon entered and assisted me out.

"Prepare her things out as soon as possible!" I tried to go back to the room, but the servants held me back, "Father, no, please!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"Don't make me want to do more, leave this house before I change my mind!" He did not bother to look at me as he turned himself against me, "What do you mean, Father? Why would I leave? No, I won't leave!" I tried to break free, but they were too strong for me.

"Let me go!" I commanded, "Release me, this instance!"

Before anything could happen, Alexios stood between us, "I'll take her," He scooped me up from the ground and carried me in his arms, "What are you doing? Put me down, Alexios!" He continued to carry me until we were at the front.

"Don't struggle if you don't want me to drop you right her and now," I froze and let him do his job, "Here," He put me down where a carriage was waiting.

The man then gave me the flower, "You should at least accept this," He placed the bouquet on my hands, "I bought the best flowers in Ylury just to give this to you,"

Tears welled out my eyes, "You shouldn't have told Father about that!" I slapped the bouquet across his face making the petals fall off, "He will eventually know it someday, Eva. The Nobles and Ladies from other Houses are just barely hanging on to not tell on what happened that night because of me,"

I fell to the ground, "Now, you have no one else but me, My Lady," He pulled me up to his arms, "You should consider this as our first day, even so, I still have no plans on making your Father give up on you. I'll court you the proper way,"

I stopped sobbing at that moment, "I do not want to look bad in front of your Father, after all, he is someone who you can call as your Family," Unconsciously, I hugged him, sobbing deeply as tears continued to flow, "I'll help you build your relationship with you Father. I know that you wanted it, however, you should also open your heart to me for it to happen. Let us help each other, Eva," He mumbled in my ear.

"Understood?" I nodded, "That's a good girl," I could feel him patting my back as he soon released me, kissing my cheek as he wiped tears away from my face.

The carriage door soon opened, "Let's go," He extended his hand out, "The carriage is waiting for us," With my things loaded, it really struck me.

The abandonment of my Father because of a night's mistake showed me how he could easily throw me out. He chose the House of Rabellino over his sole daughter, who also belongs to the Household.

As the carriage departed, not even Foivi or any servant could join me; they were wholly prohibited from making any contact with me. Father did not show himself up as I went off.

"Don't look back," Alexios muttered as he held my hand tight, "Look at me, if you continue to focus your attention, they will think that they've won against you,"
