Alexios knew that as long as she was safe and is with her, she would not worry about the idea of Eva leaving him. To add to it, she will not let her get away, not even with the slightest idea of Eva leaving her.

As the Noble was doing his usual routine, strolling across midnight ensuring that no one was trespassing, he then heard footsteps coming into his way; as he was about to hide into the corridor, a familiar face came into view.

Eva was about to trip and fall onto the floor as she was startled by his appearance. Immediately, he caught her into her arms, "T- Thank you," The Lady stuttered in shock, "Thank goodness you aren't hurt, what are you doing at this time awake?"

He released her from his grasp and composed herself, "Thank you for helping me," Eva thanked the man once again, "No worries, as I said before, I got your back, always."

He then remembered something in the past, about how he thought that Eva would have been better off she had not encountered the man. As he expected to live off of misery and terrible luck, everything turned out well when they became acquainted.

Everyone would always think about how bad their luck is if they get acquainted with Alexios. As much as Lord Demeas loves Ninia, nothing could measure his love for Eva. Even if it costs to profile everyone around her, he does not want anyone to speak of her name lightly.

"I feel tired and sleepy, however, I can't blame myself to not sleep when you're not hear," Alexios extended his hand out, "Here," They went back to their chamber, laying beside each other.

"I love you," The man whispered in her ear, "I love you too,"

Somehow, Eva is thankful because of her carelessness that night. She thought that it was a good path if she went with the flow, thinking that everything would eventually go their way and that Alexios would fall out of love when he met the Lady of his dreams.

Lady Rabellino did not know that they would end up this way. She always gets scared every time the man professes his love for her; even if she plays cupid now, Eva did not expect that Alexios' Lady of his dreams will turn out to be her.

Things did not go smoothly as she expected, puzzle pieces were not falling into their places, but she could not end their relationship, even if it were for the best, even if they were not meant to be together in the first place.

It began as a problem, starting when she liked him, and eventually, his love for her was enough to have Eva's love blossom for him. It was not something she could decide easily; the Lady knows deep inside her heart that she could not let him go any further.

She could not leave him alone any longer; it felt impossible for her to let him go. "Eva," He called her out, "Why do you look like that? There isn't really a day where I can't worry about you."

"I'm tired but I can't seem to fall asleep," The Lady replied, "Do you want something? Tell me."

"Can I? I do not want to trouble you." Eva said to him, "Just tell me, I can do anything for you."

"Well, an invitation arrived this morning, it is a banquet for celebration. I love to attend parties and I haven't attended banquets after brother's enlistment to the war," She explained, "And?"

"I would like to go to the banquet with you," The Lady smiled, convincing and persuading the man, "Eva, you can't. I can go by myself if it needs the attendance of the House of Schleswig."

Eva snuggled in his arms, "Even so... I want to go with you." Alexios knew that he was at Eva's mercy, "I know that it's what you want, however, forgive me but no."

"It won't bring harm to me since I am with you. I'm going to be the wife of Nikoloas Alexios Schleswig," He halted with her statement. "I'll soon be the Lady of the House of Schleswig and I want you to put your trust on me with this one."

"You don't know how much I want to boast about my husband to other Ladies who are present at that banquet," As Alexios heard the word husband, he immediately had his switch turned on, "You really know how to make me want you. If that's what you want then you can go, wife."

Hearing the words, husband, the Lady of the House of Schleswig. "Thank you very much, Alex," She raised her head, kissing his forehead, "You're very much welcome, My Lady."

Alexios thought that it would also be a good opportunity for him, and without any bother, their wedding would soon commence. Everything will be all right if they are together. Things are already escalating with their Houses soon merging.

There is nothing he cannot get, not even Eva. Even if everyone calls him a vile creature, saying how he is a manipulative gentleman despite his innocent face, it will not matter as long as he gets what he wants, and what he wants is Eva.

Moreover, if that is the case, he can spend his time with Eva as long as he likes. He is not the only one leaning against the future alone; he is going with Eva. Nikolaos Alexios Schleswig is now together with Eva Maria Rabellino.
