chapter 8

After like 15 minutes, may nag doorbell na. Sa tingin ko siya na yun. Tumayo si Chicky from where she is at bumaba to open the door and greet her guest.

Nung mabuksan niya yung pinto nagulat siya kasi ang mga bestfriend niyang sina Vicky, Bubbles at Apple eh nasa pinto kasama si Todd.

“Hey!!! I miss you girl!” sabi ni Apple and she hugged Chicky. Samantala, ang dalawang babae eh nakatunganga sa kanilang dalawa. Wow! Parang hindi sila nag eexist ah?! Anyway, they brushed off the feeling at nakisama sa hug. Si Todd naman ayun napa o_o ang mukha. Chicky hugged back her friends. Siyempre noh. Matatapos na ang summer break at hindi pa rin sila nagkikita. Until now.

You know why? Kasi busy sila sa kani-kanilang mga buhay. Si Bubbles powerpuff kasi masyadong busy sa Davao dahil siya ba naman ang gusto ng parents niya na magpatakbo ng company nila?! Talk about being rich. Eh if I know itong si Bubbles may ibang gustong company..hmm.. kanino kaya yun??

Si Vicky vapor rub naman, busy din sa kakatrabaho. Working student kasi. She works at “Magkapihan Muna Tayo!” shop. And if you’re going to tell me it’s a weird name, well wala ka nang magagawa ginawa yun ng owner eh. Well, she’s freakin’ rich and she asked her mom to buy her a car. Pero eto ang sabi, “MY GOD! Ang aking anak masyadong magastos! Pag-ipunan mo!” kaya ayun nasa independent state siya ng kanyang pamumuhay. Her mom would only support her in school matters.

Si Fuji Apple naman..hmm don’t bother explaining. Ahaha joke! She was in the States, pero since malapit na magpasukan bumalik na siya and wanted to shop with them for the necessary school needs. Like the first two she’s rich. Yun nga lang richer. Hahaha!

Back to the hugging part.

“Tuloy kayo!” she smiled broadly. “ Fuji buti naka uwi ka na! Bubbles what happened to you? Model ka na ba? Grabe ang payat mo! Hoy Vicky, di ka nakikipag communicate ah! Kaw lang at si kitty Kat ang nandito tapos di niyo pa ko kakausapin.” She said as they walked towards the living room. “Joke lang. Hehehe. Uy guys wait tawagin ko lang si Joey.”

She went upstairs and in about 5 minutes he was downstairs and she joined him.

“Todd-y Bear!!!!” he jumped towards Todd. Teka diba gay-ishness guys lang ang nagjujump?! Bagong twist ng story. Subaybayan kung gay si Joey.

“Joey the Lou from Hana Kimi!! Amishyu!” he said at parehong nagtatatalon papunta sa isa’t isa. Ang mga girls? Napa -_- na lang sa mga nangyayari sa palagid. Nagkumpulan sila sa living room and si Chicky ang unang nagsalita.

“Guys, enrollment na this coming Thursday. Sabay sabay na lang tayo mag-enroll.” She suggested.

“Okay! Gusto ko yan!” sabi ni Fuji este ni Apple. And the others nodded their heads.

“Wait I’ll call Kat.” Sabi ni Bubbles. She got her phone and quickly dialed Kat’s number.

“Hello?” Kat answered.

“Hello? Kitty Kat? Come here at Chicky wiggy’s apartment. Right now. We’re having a council meeting. Ahahaha.” She ordered. Ba parang pizza lang ah.

“Hello? Bubbles? Bubbles powerpuff? Kaw ba yan? Wait. You’re all there? Hmpf. Sige na nga punta ako.” She said na medyo nagwhiwhine pa ng konti.

“Okay. Bilisan mo ah?! Bye!” sabi ni Bubbles.

“Okay, bye!” she said.

Kat is one of their mates. Like Bubbles, Apple and Vicky, she is rich too. Her dad wants her to study abroad at siyempre ayaw niya. She’ll miss her friends daw.

Anyway, they continued to talk about each other’s summer. It turned out na si Chicky lang ang wala masyadong ginawa. Tapos may biglang naalala si Chicky. She excused herself together with Joey and went to the kitchen.

“Joey sasabihin na ba natin sa kanila na tayo na?” she asked him.

“Hmmm. I think wag muna. Let them guess.” He laughed as he thought out loud.

“Ayy, gusto ko yan!.”

Habang nag-uusap ang dalawa sa kitchen, napansin ni Vicky na medyo may kakaiba sa kanilang dalawa.

“Hey guys!” she called out. All the heads turned and looked at her.

“There’s something about Chicky and Joey. Parang may connection sila. Napansin niyo ba?” sabi niya.

“Oo nga noh.” They said as they looked at the 2 people in the kitchen smiling.

“Guys pabalik na sila don’t mention this muna ha?!” Apple said.

“’Kay.” Everyone agreed.

“Guys, what na? Wala pa ba si Kat?” Chicky asked them. She received a shake from their heads. After a while, the doorbell rang.

“She’s here!!!!!” everyone squealed. Well except the 2 boys.

When they opened the door, it was not Kat. Instead it was Max, Prince and Mark smiling. “Hi! Miss us?” the boys snorted.

“Yo!” the boys greeted their mates. The girls were all quiet. Vicky was staring at Max. So was he. Hindi niya ma-pinpoint kung ano nagbago kay Vicky. Prince kept on smiling to Apple but she is looking somewhere else. Mark was trying not to stare at Bubbles.

They came in and settled at the living room when the doorbell rang again.

“Hmpf. I’m sure this is it!” Bubbles exclaimed. She volunteered to go and open the door. Sa wakas, dumating na rin si Kat.

“Oh guys?! Bakit lahat kayo andito? May namiss ba ko?” she said. Bigla siyang napatigil ng makita niya si Todd. Grabe mga ilang months din sila hindi nagkita kita noh. Mga 2 or 3 months din. At dahil dito hindi niya maiwasang tumitig kay Todd.

Napansin naman ito ni Apple. “Huy! Earth to Kat?! Aish! Nakita mo lang si Todd ganyan ka na..haha..” 

“Uyy hindi ah..Nagulat lang ako kasi lahat kayo, as in lahat andito. Pati ikaw at si Bubbles.” She lied. Well actually totoo kasi yung sinabi ni Apple. Nakita niya kasi si Todd kaya siya ganyan. Hmm. Mga lalaki ang lakas talaga ng appeal.

So they continued on to their summer happenings ng hindi na talaga kaya ni Bubbles ang nakikita niya kela Chicky at Joey. Well, if you’re going to ask me..uhm..their hands are together. And well they seem to be emitting some special radiation from their bodies. Yung tipong sweet radiation.
