Maci's POV

We were walking through the dark halls as it leads to the Chasm. I don't like this at all. I saw Eric's hands on the shoulders of Christina. I hear him asked 'are you feeling fine?' and Christina answered him. No, Eric is planning something because there's no way he is doing this out of kindness. Once we arrived at the Chasm, crossing the bridge when suddenly, he pushed her from the ledge, still holding her wrist as her other wrist holding the rail. I was shocked by the scene before me as Ellie is more pissed. How could he do that to her?

"Grab the rail or don't?" Eric commanded.

After that, Christina grabbed the rail and hang there. "You got three options." Eric says while walking around and continued, "Hang there and I'll forget your cowardness, fall and die or give up. If you give up, you're out." He said coldly to her.

"Come on, Chris!" Tris piped in beside me.

Then, an intimidating look plastered on his face when looked at Tris. Then, his eyes meet with Ellie and she gritted her teeth for his stares. Christina's hands looked slipping. She groaned and I saw some water droplets falling through her palms. It looks more hard to grabbed the rail longer with this situation. Any minute now and Eric's gonna call for time. Every seconds that passed, I got even more angry at Eric. Then, I heard him command, "Time!"

We rushed towards Christina to help her up. Tris and Edward lifted her up and hugged us tightly as we comfort her. Thank god Will ain't here to see this because he would pissed. Because he's in the infirmary before Molly and Christina's fight. Seth drags Ellie as she kept throwing death stares at Eric. We took Christina to the infirmary to see if she has injuries, but she's okay beside the cut from her lip when she fought Molly. We headed to the dining hall for lunch and talked. I only ate a few and bid my goodbyes at them. Ellie decided to join me as we both could do our hair in secret.

As we were walking through the crowds of people who are still eating. I saw Ellie and Eric sharing a stare before I dragged her away. Then, we spotted Uriah.

"Hey, Uriah!" I called him out who smiled at us.

"Maci! Ellie! How nice to see you again." He said before asking, "Are you done with your lunch? If not, come and join us."

"We're done with lunch. We would love to join you guys but we're heading out." Ellie replied.

"If that's the case then, we'll catch-up later. Okay?" We nodded as we walked to the training hall, arriving early as hell. Well, we did our hair before jabbing the bags.

"Hey, Four! How was lunch?" I asked while cracked my knuckles.

"Super." was his short reply. I laughed a little as I cross my arms.

"Have you heard what happened with Eric and Christina?" Ellie asked as she stops punching the bag. He looks like innocent at his state.

"What happened?" Four asked curiously. I shrugged and answered him and he looked shocked and pissed.

"I'll go talk to him about that." He says and we both nodded before adding, "Get ready. Cause we're gonna have a little field trip at the fence." The fence? I think that's where we were found at.

"Really? We were found there before being taken to Amity by Johanna. I remember seeing red soils, red waters, and red skies? Or green, right?" I joked at him. He just laugh and explain.

"It's a hectares of farms. And basically Amities." He replied. Ooh, that makes sense now.

"So no red or green soils or anything?" I asked, making fun of him. We all laugh and stand there at ease.

"You really have a wild imagination, Maci." Four says, making me blushed.

We were cut off when the others came in and waited for Four's instructions. Ellie teased me that Four and I were flirting which I was not.... maybe, maybe I was. Then, we got the tour of the fence and holy shit, it is a nice view. I secretly took a picture on my phone. The fence is electrified so it's impossible to cross over. Unless with an open gate or something. That made me wonder how me, Ellie, and Seth got across the fence then. Someone has got our attention and it was Johanna, the leader of Amity. We send a wave at her and she waved back with a smile, signaling she's happy to see us and that we're okay.

After we return, Ellie and I went shopping to get an outfit to wear for the party later. It's really amusing that being an initiate has a privilege to get clothes what you wanted without paying any points card. Even groceries has an initiate special offers. We both brought or say it was free was black hoodie jackets, black crop tops, some t-shirts, leggings, sport bras, cargo pants, combat boots, and of course, some makeup.

"We're gonna look good tonight." Ellie smirked.

"Yeah." I smirked as we went back to the dorms.
