Ellie's POV

It was breakfast time as Molly, Zed, Steph, Tristian, Carmen, and Olivia snuck in food before going into hiding. I left first after showering and changed into a sports bra and leggings. Shit! I forgot my hair tie so when I was about to go back to the dorms, I bumped someone like a wall or something. I quickly apologize at the person who bumped into.

"Sorry. I didn't see you th-" I stopped when I made eye contact with the man I want to kill more than anything, Eric.

"Well next time. Watch where you're going." Eric mocks me.

For some reason, I kept staring at him. His eyes that were blue with emotionless aura. His plump and kissable lips. His two piercings above his brows. Then, we both ended up in this staring contest.

"You want a kiss?"

"Not from you." I scoffed. He must noticed me staring at his lips.

After that, he came close to me, making me back against the wall and pinned me there. He keeps staring at me but I couldn't move like there's like this strange magic that made me stand still like a statue.

"I'm sorry." I flinched at that apology. I know he never apologized, so that is unusual for him to apologize. What's gotten into him?

"F-for what?" I found myself stuttering for some reason.

"For trying to assault you last week. I was drunk and couldn't help myself. And triggering your PTSD." He reasoned.

"Oh... it's okay. I'll forgive you. But promise me that it won't happen again." I says. He just laughs at me as I was being serious.

"Uhmmm.. do you mind if we uh.... " What is happening? He's stuttering and nervous?

"Uhh.. hold that thought. I need to get something." I said before walking back to the dorms.

"Why are you going back to dorms, Ellie?" He asked. He called me by my name. Just before he used to call me initiates.

"I forgot something." I spoke but he ends up asking which it creeps me out.

"Mind if I tag along with you?" Alright, what the fuck is he planning? He's been acting weird today.

"Sure." I replied, making sure the others are in their hiding spots.

We walk through corridors heading to the dorms. When I get to my bed, Eric says something that I didn't hear at first.

"So, it's your spot." He says loudly but the second sentence he says like he is talking to himself. "At least I know your bed to left something on it." I hear him says something like a whisper but I couldn't understand though.

"Yeah. It's more likely my favorite place to crash on." I chuckled.

After getting my ties, we walked to the dining hall. It's so weird that Eric is besides me. I used to hate him, but now.... I don't know what I feel about him. Other than hate. I put the tie in-between my lips as I fixed my hair. Once I'm done tying my hair, Eric spoke up, "I like your hair better when it's not tied."

What the fuck? He likes my hair down? I can't even read him today so I don't know why is he acting like this?

We stayed until we entered the hall where some of the crowds looked at us. Looking confused because I'm with Eric. We walked through crowds which keeps quiet because of the presence of Eric. I spotted Maci, Seth, and our friends. Before I go, Eric said something that made everyone turn their heads to face us. Like alone catch our attention.

"Enjoy your meal, Ellie." Eric says coldly, but with a small grin. In short and simple words, it still attracts attention. I looked so confused as I sat in between Tris and Maci.

They also looked confused as Maci and Seth raised their eyebrows at me.

"What was that?" Christina asked.

"I have no idea." I confessed.

"This is the biggest news for today, Ellie." Christina says.

"I think Eric is flirting with you." Will says. Say what? I would have known if he did flirt with me.

"I think he's not kind of a flirting guy." Tris spoke up.

"More like a one night stand kind of guy." Maci scoffed.

"Yeah, he doesn't look like that kind of guy." Al agreed. But what happened earlier makes me think he was flirting with me.

"Well, something weird happened earlier while I was coming over here. Eric pinned me against the walls." I spoke.

"Did he try to assault you again?!" Seth demanded.

"No! In fact, he apologized for assaulting me and triggering my PTSD." I told him.

"He even apologized for trying to rape you?! That's definitely doesn't like him at all." Christina gasped.

"Yeah. Even talk and act nice to me. Even saying he likes my hair down." I let that slip out.

"That's what I'm telling you. In fact, he likes you so much that he felt guilty for trying to assault you. Even liking your hair down. This is what I've been talking about. Making up for what he did so he can flirt with you." Will says.

"I gotta admit, that doesn't sound like him at all. And it's a bit scary." Tris admitted.

"I agree." Maci nodded.

As we were getting food, the thoughts have been spinning in my head. Why isn't he an asshole at me? I don't like but I was confusion at his behavior today. Does he have feelings for me? Or is trying to fuck with my feelings so he can get me to bed as a one night stand? I don't even know anymore.

As I was walking with Maci, I looked around and saw Eric glancing at me at the leaders' table. Even if he's talking to someone, his attention is all on me. We stared at each other but this time, I didn't roll my eyes or send a death threat. Instead, I found myself smiling at me.

"Who are you-really?" Maci groaned as she notice who I was staring at.

"She's staring at her boyfriend, Maci." Christina teased her.

"The fuck he isn't her boyfriend." Seth grumbled.

"He's not my boyfriend, we're just.... friends, I think?" I reasoned but It's kinda true. We are kinda friends now.

We ended arguing and leave it alone before it's time for training. I notice Maci deciding to tease Uriah by placing her hands over his eyes. Everyone laughed as he quickly realized it's Maci.

"I'm gonna catch you later!" Uriah joked.

"If you can!" She barked back and runs towards us before we arrived at the training hall.

Eric was already there and already pissed off. Well, that didn't last long. Then, he said the words that made me pissed.

"First fight. Peter versus Tris!" He commanded. Oh, shit! He's gonna get back at Maci for what happened yesterday by switching her with Tris.
