Maci's POV

I woke up to see everyone else getting ready in a zombie-like state. They were mind controlled just like we all predicted. Ellie, Seth, and Tris all got ready and copied what everyone else is doing. Then, I look the corner of my eye and see a guy who is clearly Divergent was asking what was going on. Max ordered Eric to shoot him and he does but I now know he doesn't want to. I saw him looking at Ellie as they were secretly glancing at each other.

"Suspect Ellie is one too?" Max asked him.

"No, she's not." He lied once again to protect her.

Once we got our guns, we boarded a train and stood in silence. As we rode to the unknown, I heard footsteps behind me until I felt a hand squeezing my hand. It was Four and I squeezed back.

Soon enough, we arrived at Abnegation. Then, the Dauntless starting taking people out of their homes as the five of us ran off to find Tris' parents, Olivia, Molly, Steph, Tristian, Carmen, and Zed.

Only to split up as it was just me and Maci as Seth went with Tris and Four. Great. We try to find them through the chaos of sirens wailing to glass shattering to people screaming. This is even worse than any nightmare.

We saw a group of Dauntless were talking to one of the leaders. "Watch those three. If anyone tries anything, shoot them." He orders and the group complies.

We snuck off and around the corner where we saw Molly, Tristian, and Steph running towards us with guns.

"Shit, are you guys okay?!" They hugged us quickly.

"Where's Olivia, Zed, and Carmen?" Ellie asked.

"We got separated." Tristian told us.

"Come on, we need to find them." I said as we continued to snuck only to saw a group of Dauntless circling a group of Abnegation people.

"We have to help them." Molly whispered.

"Come on." I said as we begin fighting the Dauntless as Tristian aided the Abnegation group out of the area. That's when I saw blacked out when I was stuck with a gun.

The last thing I heard is "Bring them to Jeanine."

Molly's POV
We were dragged to one of the Abnegation houses which had all sorts of tech set-up. As soon as we entered the house, I spotted Eric who widened his eyes as he was an unconscious Ellie.

"Fuckin' traitor!" I screamed in anger.

He scoffs, "Looks like you were right, Jeanine." He says, making her turn around.

"I can't believe you were using and lying to Ellie! Once we tell her, we will make sure she will never love you again, asshole!" Steph growled.

He narrowed his eyes at Steph as she spoke about Ellie. "You three must be Molly, Steph, and Tristian. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I thought you three have known the sisters well enough.

"But I guess you're not smart as you think you are if you know so much about us." Steph spat before adding, "Why are you doing this?"

"Abnegation has never caused any harm to you." Tristian added.

"Abnegation won't, but Divergents such as Ellie, Maci, Seth, and you three apparently, will." She furrows her brows. "Abnegation, if left unchecked, will destroy the faction system. Same can be said of you, somebody has to stop you. If we don't peace will be lost."

"The fuck? What kind of bullshit is this?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"We're taking Maci and Ellie back to the compound, Eric. I'll let you decide what to do with those three." Jeanine told him.

Eric walked towards us and stops in front of us, his eyes looking at us one by one. "Get rid of them." He says, coldly.

"Fuck you, asshole! Ellie will kill you if she learns you had all three of us dead!" I screamed as the Dauntless were dragging us out of the room as the other two were taking Ellie and Maci away.

Steph, Tristian, and I were knelt on the grass as we were waiting for death to come. What a murderous asshole. I don't understand why Ellie would fall for that. We felt the gun being pointed at us as I took a deep breath, waiting to be shot.

"Wait!" Of course, he has to show up. "I want to do it."

"Sure you do!" I mocked as I glared at him.

"Goodbye." He says before he pulls the trigger, a loud bang echoes through the field.

Seth's POV

Shit, we ended up being captured while trying to find the girls. I clutched to Olivia tightly in my arms. I even have to watch Natalie die right after I managed to knock Will out, no way I can't kill him. We escaped the clutches the Dauntless but ended up being separated by Tris and Four and now, Olivia and I were being taken to the Dauntless compound.

That's where we saw Jeanine and other Erudite there with Ellie and Maci struggling at the end of the ropes.

"Yes, the whole family is now here. Now, we can get started on the experiments." Jeanine smiled as soon as she sees me and Olivia being dragged towards the room.

"You lied to us about our results, Jeanine. Don't understand why you couldn't have us died already if you know we were Divergent." I said through gritted teeth.

"Because you four are part of an ancient race that has long since been existed. I assume you already know what I am talking about." Shit! So, she knows about that. "Your test results revealed that and now, you four will be the cure to end all the Divergents and bring back the peace."

"Your claim of peace is so fucked up!" Ellie growled.

"Don't bring Olivia in this! She's just a child!" Maci begged.

"But Olivia is carrying a precious gift. Let's get started on the experiment." Jeanine spoke up, ignoring all of us.
