Ellie's POV

Tris and Maci were leaning against the vehicle as Cheyenne was checking her nails as they look up and watch us approach us. They reaches behind their backs for what I assume to be a gun, prompting Tobias to take a glance over his shoulder.

"Wal slowly." Tobias says as he sees some guards approaching us.

"Hey!" One of the guards yell.

"Shit." I cursed under my breath as we ignored them and continue to walk towards a small cliff. I watched as Eric carefully tucks his gun under his long sleeve to disguise it slightly.

"All Erudite prisoners are supposed to be locked in the cages." The guard spoke, "Stop!" We complied as soon as we heard multiple guns clocking behind us.

"We can handle these ones ourselves." Tobias says as he gives me a subtle signal towards the cliff.

Before I knew it, he shoved Caleb over the cliff and I did the same with Eric. He then drew his gun fired at them several times. He raises his brows at the guards as they slowly backed away.

"Alright, let's move!" The head guard orders.

He waits until we were sure the coast was clear.

"Alright, you guys can come out now."

Caleb and Eric cautiously emerged from their hiding spot and climbed up the cliff. Caleb struggling significantly more than Eric as he does, making Tris and Cheyenne laugh slightly.

"Thank you." Eric thanked Tobias as he loosen the cuffs around his wrist, "And you." He says as he pulls me into a tight embrace as soon as his hands were free.

"You wanna tell me what all of this is about now?" He asked.

"We're going over the wall and you're coming with me." I told him.

"Only mom is staying here as she can at least reason with Evelyn." Cheyenne added.

"When are we leaving?" Caleb asked.

"We should go back first." Maci suggested.

Emily's POV

After kissing my children goodbye, I told Tobias, Tris, and Eric to take care of them which agreed to before getting in the vehicle and drove off, heading to the wall. I stayed behind with Uriah, Zeke, Lynn, and Harrison.

"I'm surprised you didn't went with your children, Emily." Harrison spoke.

"I know but I do know that they are in good hands. That's all I want. I don't care if I live or die after this, but all I want is for my children to safe and happy." I told him.

As soon as I say that, the screens in the room flickered on. Evelyn's face flashes across the screen.

"Members of the Resistance, I believe you have taken two of our prisoners." Evelyn's voice sounded through the speakers, "I'm going to make this quick, hand them off or suffer the consequences. We look forward to working with you soon." Then, the screen fell black.

"The Resistance?" Zeke asks, raising a brow, "That's what they're calling us?"

"Seriously, man? We're practically going into war and that's all you care about?" Uriah scolds.

"We have a name, why not make it known?" Zeke argues.

"Hey! Stop this right now! Let's focus on the real problem here!" I yelled.

"She's right." Mr. Kang agrees, "What's the plan, Emily?"

"I'll go talk to her." I said.

"Who's going with you?" Uriah asks.
