Maci's POV

I knew this fight has happened because of me. Oh, why did I not shut my mouth? I was supposed to fight Peter but this is all Eric's way to get back at me; by getting one of my friends hurt. When Tris was walking to the mat, Seth stopped her and Four came over, giving her advice and tips. Then, she went to the mat.

"It's because of me, she's gonna get hurt." I mumbled under my breath.

"It's not your fault, Maci." Four told me as he heard that.

Once they start taking their stance, Eric reassured them to start by saying, "Go."

Peter attacks first but Tris dodges it. She noticed that Peter steps before he punches. So, when he stepped, she takes her chance and punch him in the throat. I'll give her that; she's fast. Christina cheered Tris saying 'Good one Tris." They fought and Tris blows Peter but that doesn't last one as he repeatedly punches her. I couldn't watch this as she falls to the ground. Ellie is glaring at Eric as she knew why this fight has happened. Then, Four walked away as if he doesn't want to see her being knocked out. I was to leave when Seth picked up Tris and told us, "Let's take her to the infirmary."

We took her to the infirmary and came back even though we want to stay with her. I hope it's Peter but when we came back, Eric scolded everyone but directed his eyes on me.

"When you open your mouth, you're gonna end up just like her. She's out in the initiation." Eric says.

"You did this because of me! She's improving and didn't deserve that! Why not make me fight instead of her?!" I yelled.

"You want to be out too, Maci? You see, I'm a leader so it's easy for me to make everyone out and kicked out." Asshole! "Next fight, Maci and Seth! Let's see if I can get you out too!"

"WHAT?!" Me, Seth, and Ellie yelled.

I can't believe this is happening. Bad enough that he got Tris out but now he's gonna get me out too for flipping at the mouth. Seth growled as we both stomped on the mat and begin to get in our stances.

We ended up trying to not getting me knocked but that didn't last long as Seth smirked and mouthed out 'I got a plan." So he ended up knocking me out.

Ellie's POV

Seth knocked out Maci; what's he planning? Is he gonna get Maci and Tris back in? I know him well. He carried her to the infirmary as I got in the mat and won my fight against Molly. After the fights, we headed to lunch and looked like someone has died. Well, Tris and Maci both got cut and it's pissing me off. Seth walked over to Four and they both walked out of the hall together, talking. I don't even care what they're talking about. I finished my lunch and walked out and head towards the Chasm.

I fucking hate this! If he's gonna cut my sister and friend, I might as well walk out too. I end up punching the wall so hard as tears spilled from my eyes. I stand and looked below the Chasm when someone is approaching from behind me.

"You're not gonna jump, are you?" It was Eric.

"You fucking stalking me now?" I scoffed as I growled that out.

He just laughs and stands there, not doing anything. "Technically, yes. Because I'm worried about you."

"How nice of hearing that from an asshole who kicked not only my sister but my friend out for flipping at the fucking mouth! Something that Tris has never done!" I yelled.

He was about to saying something but I cut off, "And if you are gonna do that, Seth and I are gonna walk out and never look back."

"No! You're not leaving, Ellie!" He suddenly yells as I found myself pinned against the walls.

"Yes, I can. Jeanine even offer to help us with anything as we did came from the outside. She wouldn't mind to take us in and maybe I would happy there in Erudite.... who knows? There might be a cute and gentle guy who might spark an interest." I continued. Okay, that last part, where did that come from?

"Fuck this." Was all he said before gripping my chin and.... kissed me. I literally felt my heart bursting out of my chest. I never felt like this before as I suddenly found myself kissing him back. My god, I should've pushed back and slap him in the face. But yet, I kept kissing him until we parted, breathing heavy.

"Don't leave, Ellie." He said before walking away, leaving me in the dust.

What the hell? Is this his way of saying 'Don't leave me."? No wonder he's been acting weird around me. And why did I kiss him back? The man who literally kicked out Maci and Tris. I think I need to take this out on the punching bag.
