"Why are you doing this?" Draco grit his teeth.
"Don't you see? I have nowhere to go!" His blood rushes up to his face, crimson underneath his pale flesh.
"Draco. Come with me to Hogwarts now and we shall settle this."
Although you had not felt it—as you were blacked out, Severus was carrying you, bridal style.
He was slightly reddening in embarrassment as his masculine hands touch your exposed back as well as the back of your thighs and legs. It only made it all the more difficult to handle you when your arms instinctively wrap his neck, he was your comfort.
At this point, he was cradling you, because you kept trying to snuggle up to him. Although it did bother him due to his flustered state, he let you steal his warmth.
Draco laughs, his persona dissolving into frenzy. "You can drop the caring act, you knocked her out!"
Severus tried to remain calm. "She was experiencing pain Malfoy, I had no choice."
Draco grit his teeth. Teenage angst, stubbornness and determination projected him to all sorts of feelings. As a matter of fact, he could not pinpoint exactly what he was feeling himself.
Severus tuts. "Silly boy. I'll be off." His cape billows against the wind, as he begins to walk towards a carriage he had summoned earlier, with you in his arms.
"I said, let her go!" Draco flings out his wand, threateningly. Severus turns his body. Watching the blonde-headed boy with mere amusement.
His hands were shaky due to hesitance, but his anger could not be masked.
"You don't know about what happened this evening!" He yells. His wand aiming anywhere but at Severus, out of fear of the consequences of striking him.
Severus hisses.
"Only a fool would attack his own Professor." He drawled out, reaching to grab Draco's wand. Draco, however, did not move. He was frozen on the spot as fright took over him.
"I bet I can!" Draco's childish dilemma, protecting his inner guilt.
But Severus ignores his words. Not sparing them any attention. Instead, he stealthily pushes Draco's wand back, hitting the blonde's chest. Causing him to grunt in pain.
"Get inside the carriage, now."
Severus turns his body around again, making his way to the carriage and holds you tighter.
Draco angrily throws his wand to the ground. His head lowered. His ego wouldn't give up. Too prideful to admit that he was wrong.
"I'm heading to Hogwarts in another way!" He shouts with fury.
Severus was conflicted.
As a Professor, it was his duty to protect the students, make sure they were safe. As much as Draco had ruined his day, he could not dare to leave him unguarded. Especially with dementors and deatheaters around.
But at the same time—he had you shivering in his arms, in a deep slumber. He wraps his cloak around you like a blanket, but he knew it wasn't enough. The chilly atmosphere of the forest was almost too icy to bare. You needed to sleep somewhere warmer.
"Malfoy, this is not a choice. You said it yourself—you have nowhere to go as of now." Severus says, his velvety voice carrying a hint of concern. "As I mentioned previously, we shall sort this out with the Headmaster."
"I'm not incapable." Draco defends himself. Throbbing veins in his neck. Colouring his pale skin pink.
"I'm sure, Malfoy. However, I do think Y/N would appreciate if I exited safely, with you beside her." Severus says with slight sorrow in his words.
