It was a peaceful morning despite the howling wind that could be heard from outside the corridors. In which was strange because the common rooms would usually block out all the white noise from outside.
Especially of those Gryffindors who would try to get in the way. You yawned and got dressed for today's classes. Until you observed the parchment from yesterday. Professor Snape's handwriting, which was a summary of the methods and counterattacks. It gave you a warm and fuzzy feeling.
But you felt your cheeks heating up again when you thought back to his words. 'This is not my decision but Dumbledores, I will lessen your homework— so you do not need to hand in your overdue essay.' Hearing that sentence provided you with temporary relief because now your anxiety had to focus on the next big thing; joining the death eaters.
Yes it wasn't his choice but you still felt some comfort in his presence having only hung out with him for the evening.
Walking out the room with a slight blush, you continued your way down the steps, stopping halfway when you see the back of Draco. Reminding you to check up on Pansy. You rushed back upstairs, crouching as you did, hoping Crabbe and Goyle hadn't nudged Draco, alerting him of your presence.
Pansy lay in bed with a stupid grin plastered on her face. Her arms and legs were sprawled out and she was still in her Pajamas.
You looked around the room, all the beds were already made up. It had seemed that everyone had already left for breakfast in the Great Hall. Leaving her alone in a state like this.
"Pansy?"
She stopped grinning once her eyes landed on you. She sat up as you walked further towards her. "Yes?"
"Are you alright?" You asked with a slight frown as you take in her appearance. Now that she wasn't smiling, her eye bags were much more noticeable than usual. "Care to let me know what happened with you and Draco?"
"Draco?!" Her eyes lit up again. She clasped her hands tightly as she sprung out of bed suddenly, making you shift back suddenly. Hoping she wouldn't whack herself into an object or you. "I need to tell him just how much I love him!" She squealed.
Poor girl. Just how much of a 'drop' did he give her?
"Listen, you need to head to the infirmary. Now." You tried to sound somewhat authoritative but it came off as robotic. You internally groaned.
"Nope. I need my Draco here first." She went back to sitting at her bed. Looking up at the ceiling mindlessly.
This is going to take a while...
Your first thought was to head to Draco and force him to take her to the infirmary. You had no other way of convincing Pansy. But to think Hogwarts 'mean' girl was in such a vulnerable state gave you a sense of unwanted satisfaction.
"I'll be back Pansy, stay here." You rubbed her shoulder to which she hummed in response.
Where are her 'minions' now that she is in a place of need? Fake friends huh. I do feel pity for her.
Forget it.
It's my duty as a prefect to ensure that all students in my house get equal treatment and safety. Regardless of my personal feelings of them. I need to ensure that Pansy is returned back to her usual self, even if I do prefer her to be this gentle with me.
You managed to rush out the Slytherin common room again, a lot of things in your mind. You carelessly bumped into a few students who groaned but you could care less.
Your priority was Pansy. As of now. And you hated to admit that.
You had made it to the Great Hall where most people were casually hanging out due to their break time. You try and spot a familiar blonde head, but he was nowhere in sight.
