"Severus, you idiot." You whine.
How were you supposed to enter his office with his cloak? Everybody would stop by and stare at you, immediately think of something suspicious. Your head wove in ridiculous scenarios, each fragment crystallising your abstract reality.
After all, having feelings for your Professor was nothing but disastrous.
Hagrid waves you good bye as you trail off. You smile at him, arm extended, waving as you watch his figure become distorted by the nonadjacent length you carry in your steps.
Thankful for him, he had been nothing but kind towards you, unlike London.
I need to think about how to deal with Lon later. Severus needed me for some reason.
And I should try to focus on the positive side.
Wistfully, Severus's magical cloak shrinks as if it knew your thoughts. Your mouth turns agape, had he enchanted it knowing you would have complained about everything? You hold it firmly in your hand.
Oddly enough, his calming draught brought you back to your senses, not to say emotional baggage that weighed on you was nothing but a mere burden—but it was not entirely pleasant either.
It held pain of the past, you painted that image in your head, shades of black and white, not hankering any destructive scene to be colouring vivid hues in your memory. It would only induce more unresolved trauma.
You shake your head. The sun rays blinding your view as you scurry towards the grassy hills, trotting on a few branches and crunching orange autumn leaves.
The winter would emerge soon.
Finally, your feet step on hardened decorative cement, you walk through the Hogwarts corridors, contemplative.
What you do not expect is, Pansy and Leo heading in your direction, fast-paced in their momentum, they were located at the clocktower courtyard, beside the corridor you were in. Your peripheral catches Pansy staring, her narrowed eyes whisper to you—about Draco.
But as she begins to strut away, your eyes darted back to Leo. Who decides to jog towards you. A dashing smile on his light features.
"Hey there, let me help." Leo's eyes lit up, gesturing for you to hand him the cloak. His fingers dwell into the fine fabric. But before he could grab it, you snatch it out of his grasp.
"No thanks." You felt emotional attachment to Severus's cloak, hilarious.
He shrugs it off with a half smile, walking beside you. Although he was a charmer, you did not want him talking to you right now. Sometimes walking in solitude helped you reflect your thoughts and emotions better—small talk erased your energy.
"Not to sound like a stalker, but you have something for cloaks. First mine, then Professor Snapes..." After hearing Severus's name slip from his mouth, he pauses his steps, you mimic him. His stiff demeanour putting up a guard, like he had unlocked a secret.
His eyes scrutinised yours, a blank stale image was constructed before him as you try to analyse what he may have been calculating in his complex mind.
"Yes. Why exactly do you have his cloak?" He questions with a raised brow. Leaning forward as to whisper to you. But a roll of your eyes was enough to establish the setting that you wanted him to back off.
Why do I always get myself into mess?
Suspicion only grew wider when a muscle in your jaw twitches. Holding back a vomit of words. It was not the best place to talk about private things.
