Your day was a complete mess. From the day that it had started, all the way up to the train. And heck it was only the start of your sixth year.
An aching sensation was brought upon your head as you sat by the Professors. The way they all would take secret glances at you, it couldn't be more obvious— just in case you were trying to be 'mischevious' and do something else to swirl up 'trouble' again. But you knew you weren't that girl who would. You weren't a fool.
You just happend to have overslept and find yourself stuck in this misery.
I hate this so much.
You touched your green, silver and black robes in hopes of calming your mind but you instantly thought of the house points taken off, and the fact that you had forgotten about your long due essays.
Professor Mcgonagall saved you a seat next to her. It wasn't too bad because the staff compartment resembled the students almost identically. However, it did not have any sliding doors as it looked more of a two seat per row configuration.
Professor Mcgonagall took the seat by the window. Quietly observing the nature pass by her eyes. You were curious as to why she allowed you to sit next to the fellow Professors and not with the other students.
Surely you learnt your lesson.
Am I getting a special kind of treatment? Because if it was, I don't like it one bit. Except for the silence.
Although you knew it was appropriate, it felt gut-wrenching. As if something bad was bound to happen if you moved. Professor Mcgonagall's presence was strong along with her fruity blueberry scent.
You looked over to your left to observe Professor Snape, sitting alone by the window who was also deep in his thoughts.
I've never seen him in this tranquility or maybe I haven't spent much time with him during class. He was always so...isolated. Secretive. And daring.
Your thoughts became interrupted as Professor Mcgonagall had suddenly stood up, "excuse me while I pass by you dear." She said. Hovering over your legs. She gripped tightly onto her emerald robes, ensuring that she wouldn't stumble as she walked towards the sliding doors.
Your head turned observing her. Right towards the students compartments. "I'll check up on the first-years Severus, if I need any help I'll let you know." She said, before observing your face with a small smile. Professor Snape had snapped out of his dream state and nodded abruptly before turning back to the window.
Minding his own business.
You looked away as well and observed the front of the compartment. The whole staff sat there quietly with a murmur here and there. The opposite compared to the students you would sit by who would spread constant chatter.
Honestly why was I sitting here with these professors? I was harmless...? Ok. Maybe I wasn't that harmless but I mean they all could outperform me for sure. Maybe I just need some rest.
Your eyes were growing tired by the minute as the train rattled and the grumbling continued.
A perfect combination for a power nap on the train.
Naturally, your eyes fluttered close as you lay back a bit more, arms folding over one another. Leaning back onto your seat.
Reclining quite comfortably despite a few staff having their eyes on you. But you could care less now. You wanted to be in your dorm already or in the library. Away from everyone and everything.
"Miss L/N you are not permitted to fall asleep on the train, nobody will be there to awaken you."
You hear a deep raspy voice say. You eyes were still closed until you opened them only to observe Professor Snape by your left. He sat by the other empty seat that was located next to him, which was closer to your end.
