"Are you feeling alright Miss L/N?" Professor Snape tried to converse with you, as you sat and studied last minute defence tactics for revision. Today's revision was Occulemecy.
It had been a few days prior to the Pansy incident. You felt a lot better since then, hence Dumbledore wanted the mission to proceed today.
You looked up to meet Professor Snapes' dark eyes. Today was also the day you were going to meet Voldemort, and get the dark mark stained on your inner wrist. A permanent and painful stain. You had a horrid gut-wrenching feeling settle in your stomach.
Should I lie or tell the truth? Am I ready for any of this? I even got beat up by Pansy and recovered. but what if I did something wrong? Getting thrown around by some death eaters...that could end up to be way worse.
I don't even know how to hide it from London and Marissa...would they still be my friends?
"I'm fine." You murmured. His eyes seem to have softened for some reason. His chiseled jawline could be seen through the sole lantern that was in the room, and on the table beside your utensils.
"Let me know if you feel unwell again, we can postpone the task." He said in a soft voice. But you were more surprised he actually cared. You felt your heart skip a beat.
Suddenly, someone started knocking outside the classroom. Your head shot towards the door. Snape noticed and gave a little grunt. Slightly annoyed that somebody had interrupted the conversation.
"Enter."
The door opened and in came the Slytherin with short hair. Louise. You felt your heart drop once she took an obvious side glance at you, curious to find you alone with Snape.
You looked away from the entrance and faced Snapes' desk instead. Finding it more interesting than her presence. Still not over the fact that she never helped you get away from Pansy. Maybe you just trusted people too easily.
"What do you require at this time, Miss Spencer?" Snape looked a bit tired and sounded moody.
"Dumbledore wanted to let you know that you and Y/N should meet him before heading to the Dark Lord." She said with no hesitance in her voice.
Your head shot to hers immediately. "How does she know about this?" Your heart stammered against your chest. You looked at Snape for an answer.
"She deserves to know. Dumbledore placed his trust in her." Professor Snape said with a blank face.
You took the chance to sneak a glance back, for some reason she had kept her head down and didn't bother to look up at Snape or you to talk.
"Why did it have to be her?" You rolled your eyes. Crossing your arms in a petty fashion. Louise kept her head down.
Was she ashamed of her actions? And felt guilt or is she just scared of Snape? Or hiding something in between?
"She is one of our valuable students." Snape said silkily, looking at you. "She is brighter than you, I hope you are not jealous, Miss L/N." Snape added with a smug expression. You raised an eyebrow at him, feeling a slight tug at your heart.
This man gives me many reasons to hate him.
"Yeah, jealous? Jealous of what? For letting me get beat up by Pansy?" You said with a venomous voice. You were about to get out of your chair but were stopped by Professor Snape's arm.
