Draco approached you in the hallway after Breakfast. After watching your late arrival, he had been wondering why your eye bags were more present and your hair messier than usual. Truth be told; you were up all night thinking about Severus. But you couldn't tell him that.
He swiftly took your hand in his, and you obeyed. His hands gripped yours and he leaned in closer. Backing you to the wall, your breath hitched as your eyes observe the sky that was his eyes.
"Why are you acting so strange?" He asks in a whisper, his eyes boring into yours. "And you look...distressed."
You turn your head to observe the hallway, it was empty. Not strange as it was early in the morning. He must have been looking for you.
"The real question is why are you trying to act like my lover when nobody else is around to watch us?" You whisper back, still highly aware of your surroundings.
His hand grab your wrist much more firmly, not letting go, then slowly, his delicate fingers intertwine with yours.
"Your hands are warm. That's all that I'll ever be thankful of." You try to break your awkwardness, your intimacy with him felt forced.
"And your always going to be an mentally unstable nerd." He scoffs. You retreat your words, not wanting to hear further roasts that would bruise your ego even more.
"Fair enough."
His mouth twitched into a smile, he couldn't hold in his bratty attitude much longer. He tightened the grasp on your hand on purpose to enumerate more warmth.
"My parents would like to meet you." He said with a smug face. "You'll be there...won't you?" His voice was no longer the harsh one you had encountered in the previous years.
"As long as you take me there." You pipe up, a little hesitant yet curious enough to accept his offer. "How long will we be there?"
How long will I keep up this act? I don't want to ruin it for him, I don't have any feelings...I just, I'm conflicted.
"Dinner. Father wants to invite you to dinner. He has heard a lot about your history..." he thought for a moment before his ocean eyes locked with yours again "I think he approves of you." His hands impulsively grabbed both yours again as he gently push them back into your chest.
You huffed in annoyance. "He approves?"
"I'm serious." He says again, voice below a whisper, desperate to convince you. You push him back so that he doesn't invade your bubble.
You nodded slowly. "And what about your mother? Does she not have a say?"
Draco blinked, his face lightened up at the mention of her. "She's always been supportive of me."
You smirked to make him feel slight irritation. "So your father isn't as supportive, huh?"
You crossed your arms, then nudge his shoulder in amusement. "You're a mama's boy." You chuckled but his expression grew into a tight stern look.
"My father is not of your concern, you moron."
His eyes flicker of guilt as he observe the obvious foul look you portrayed. "Look, I know I hate you." He stated as a matter of fact.
Does he really feel that way about me?
"The feeling's mutual."
"Yes but—I'm sorry for kissing you without your consent." He averted his eyes. "I shouldn't have don't that. I...It just made everything worse."
You acted surprised by his confession. But you knew Louise has probably beaten him up in order for him to apologise to you. There was no other way.
"It was Louise. Wasn't it?" You narrow your eyes at him.
