Begin Again

The one good thing

About already being fallen apart

Is that you can't break

A broken heart.

Your words cut me deep.

Like a knife right through my chest.

The cold steel of the double-

Sided edge took away my breath.

For so long, this was the one thing

I was trying to avoid.

I knew as soon as it happened, everything we had would be destroyed.

On this journey,

I've spent the past 8 months

Thinking losing you was

The biggest regret I've ever done.

Now that the truths come out,

I see everything crystal clear.

You're no longer holding me back.

I'm letting go of this fear.

You've been keeping me from things

So for now we will come to an end;

But if the day ever comes,

We can watch us begin again.
