Masquerade

I get up every day,

Put on a smile that's fake.

You act like you're fine,

But you can tell you're not okay.

We still have those moments,

And we still talk about our old memories;

But for some reason, we never admit

That we still have feelings.

There's times it still feels

Like things are the same as they were.

Then other times, you treat me like

dirt and give me the cold shoulder.

You're hot then cold.

You keep on confusing me,

But I can tell you want things back

To the way they used to be.

I wish you would stop pretending

And just say what you wanna say

Because I can't keep on watching

You play this masquerade.
