What if I told you all the things
I've been dying to say?
Would you turn your back
Or would you stay?
What if I let the words
On the tip of my tongue slip loose
Even though I'm so close to saying
them if that's what it takes for me to prove?
What if I say it
And it all goes wrong?
Could that be what you've been
Waiting for all along?
What if I told you that you're
The last person I want to kiss?
What if I told you you're the first one
To make me feel like this?
What if when you randomly smile
When you're on your own
Is it me you're thinking of
When you're alone?
What if I'm you're first love
And the last you ever have?
What if it takes telling you to your face so we can pick up where we stopped in the past?
What if hearing those 3 words would
be something you couldn't ignore?
What if hearing me say them is exactly what you've been waiting for?
There's a lot if things that could go
wrong, but I'm willing to take the risk
Because if I don't say it, I could spend
the rest of my life saying "what if?"
