Weakest Link

I always said

We would never last forever;

But now, I know

We're meant to be together.

Maybe not now

Because the timing isn't right,

Yet I know we will be together.

I believe it with all my might.

It seems I've tried too hard

To get you to see

That nobody else cares as much

About you as me.

I guess I went too far

Because now you won't even speak.

I thought it would help, but it only

Made me look like the weaker link.

I'm glad I did it though no matter what you think inside your mind

Because its helped me to be content

And helped me take my time.

Until you see I've changed,

That I'm different and new,

I'll be right here

Waiting for you.
