Let's Be Us Again

Here I stand

Trying to figure out what to do

So I can pick the right way

To get back to you

I want to say "I love you,

But I don't want to push my luck

Because what if I need to wait

Until you're ready to speak up.

Maybe you're waiting on me

To make a move first.

I'm just afraid to do it because I don't

know what I would do if it didn't work.

I miss the way things used to be.

I can tell you miss it too.

I just don't know if I should say

something first or wait on you.

I'm reaching out. Open up your heart

And let me back in

I'm tired of waiting.

Lets be us again.
