Fade Away

The way you talk about her,

You act so happy.

It hurts me that she's why that smile

Is on your face instead of me.

No words could ever describe

How sorry I am for turning you away;

But if I never did, I would be doubting

The love that I feel for you today.

She might make you happy now, Yet

She might be the one to make you see

That the only one you want

As long as you live is me.

The things I said hurt. I know they're

Something that's hard to forget;

And as long as I'm without you,

I will look at it as my biggest regret.

I hope she'll make you realize.

So I can finally have a change of luck

Because it's hard to hold on

When everyone tells me to give up.

Do me and you a favor and stop

Holding on to what I said on that day

Just put that out of your mind

And let it fade away.
