As The Days Pass By

As much as I want time

To pass me by,

As much as I wish to fast forward

To the time when you'll be mine,

No matter how bad

I want to say how I feel

Or how bad I want you to know, I can't

Because that's not how life goes.

We all have to take our time

And go through the rain.

Even on my worst day, I have to find

A way to make it through the pain.

So no matter how hard it may be,

I'll stand by your side

While I sit here patiently

As the days pass by.
