Heart Of Stone

You built a wall around your heart.

You're to stubborn to face the truth.

I don't know what it's gonna take

For me to break through.

I know I put a hole in your heart.

I've been the one in your place.

So instead of facing the truth, I found someone else to fill that empty space.

It seemed it was easier to meet new people and enjoy the "benefits"

Because I didn't want to be hurt.

I thought it wasn't worth the risk

I soon realized I was wrong.

Love was worth the fall.

I saw that its better to be loved

Than to never be loved at all.

I hate that I broke you

And made you have a heart of stone,

But sometimes it takes the most painful way to prove that we're wrong.

We'll have our chance again after something breaks through your heart.

That's when we'll both be changed,

And we can finally have a new start.
