Lisa POV

"What do you want?" I asked into the phone. After a week of basically shutting myself out to all contact with all people, I decided to finally answer Catherine's calls.

"Finally! I've been trying to get a hold of you all week. Anyways, I need to talk to you. Come to the office in fifteen minutes," she said and I rolled my eyes.

"Why can't you just talk to me now?" I asked.

"Because, this needs to be done in person. See you in fifteen," she said and the line went dead. I sighed angrily and set my phone down on the kitchen counter and cleaning out the mug I used for my tea.

I walked into my bedroom and pulled a pair of thick black leggings and a white sweater from my closet. I quickly changed into them from my oversized plaid pajamas and added a pair of light brown combat boots. I brushed out my long, brown hair and clipped back my side bangs. I picked up my phone and keys and walked out to my car.

After ten long minutes of driving, I pulled up in front of the office building. I parked my car and walked in through the doors. I took a deep breath as I walked onto the lift. I pressed the third floor button before I was carried up. Once the doors slid open, I walked passed a very large amount of doors before finding the room that I had been to too many times.

I knocked lightly before I heard a muffled "come in". I opened the door and slowly walked into the large office.

"Please, have a seat," Catherine said without even looking up from her papers. I sat down on one of the extremely comfortable lounge chairs that sat directly in front of Catherine's desk.

"So lovely for you to show up," she began before checking her watch and continuing, "three minutes early. I'm impressed."

She finally looked up at me and widened her eyes a bit before regaining her composure.

What was her deal?

"How are you?" she asked and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Why do you ask?" I asked back and she cleared her throat before continuing.

"I don't know. You just look a bit thin. How much have you been eating?" Catherine asked and I shrugged. Why did she care?

"I don't know, not a lot," I mumbled.

"Why? Does it have to do with the small fact that there are rumors in just about every magazine we've looked at that are saying that you and Louis broke up?" she asked and I could instantly feel myself choke on my tears.

She knows.

"Maybe," I mumbled as I felt a single tear roll down my cheek.

"Well, this obviously isn't good. We only needed you so we could get more publicity for the band," she said and I looked up as my blood boiled.

"Well, obviously the band is getting publicity. As you said, Louis is mentioned in almost every single magazine out there! And if you don't need me anymore, then why don't you just get rid of me? You know, the way Louis did?" I snapped before dropping my head into my hands as more and tears began to fall more frequently. Being reminded of the situation makes me a lot more emotional than I thought.

I heard Catherine stand up and sit down somewhere near me before rubbing her hand in circles on my back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to spark up any unwanted memories," she said quietly and I put my head up and widened my eyes at her.

"You're actually being nice to me?" I asked and she chuckled lightly.

"Of course. Us ladies must help each other out sometimes, yeah? And I have a little something that might help you out more," she said and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. She noticed my expression and stood up, opened a drawer in her desk, and walked back to me with a slip of paper.

"This is a plane ticket. The boys are going to be attending the VMA's this year in Los Angeles and we need you, and all the other boys' girlfriends, to come," she said and I widened my eyes.

"Really? That means I'll get to see Louis again?" I asked and she nodded with an amused smile.

"There will be a car at your flat tomorrow morning at 10:30. Be sure you have everything packed and ready by then. It's only a three day trip, but everyone might go out and do something one of the days. Lou will be there to do your makeup and outfit for the award show, so you'll be all set with that.

"Oh, your address. Sorry, I'm babbling a bit. I just never got the address to your new place," she said and I nodded before writing it down in my near, cursive handwriting on the piece of paper she handed me.

"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow," Catherine finished and I stood up before walking down towards the lift, then to my car. I sat down before pulling the car door closed. I pulled out the plane ticket and stared at it before smiling for the first time in a week.

I was going to see Louis again in less than 24 hours.

Louis POV

"What? Seriously?" I said and groaned before putting my head in my hands and rubbing my temples in stress.

"Yes, Louis. And I'll let you know, she'll be a lot happier to see you than you her," Catherine said and I scoffed.

"Are you joking? She was probably just faking it," I said and instantly regretted it. I shouldn't be saying these things about her.

"I'm not. It was actually quite obvious she was happy about it. Did you see how thin she got? Trust me, she misses you a ton," she said and I groaned.

"When does the plane leave?" I asked and Catherine sighed in relief and gave me all the information before I walked out of the building.

Of course, she just has to go to Los Angeles with us. She just has to still be employed at Modest! Management.

I wasn't necessarily upset, as we do need to talk a little bit, I was just more confused.

Lisa was thinning? Was she really not eating because of me?

I decided that maybe all this avoiding her had gotten to be too much. I needed to hear her voice once more before I saw her in person.

I got in my car but didn't start it. Instead, I pulled out my phone and pressed on Lisa's contact. I was mad at myself, considering the fact that I had to press the "unblock caller" button in order to call her.

I took a deep breath and put the phone up to my ear. It rang three times before I heard a beautiful, yet somewhat broken, voice on the other end say, "Hello?"

"Lisa," I breathed out. It felt like it had been way longer than a week since we last spoke.

"Louis?"
