Lisa POV
I swear, staying still today has been completely impossible. I've been jumping around our dorm room, packing all of my things up into all the boxes I have around lying around the large place I've called home for the past year.
Today was the last day of my second year of college.
Today was the day I moved into my new apartment.
Today was the day Louis got back from his tour.
Aryanna had found her own place not too far from campus, and I didn't want to end up with someone I didn't know as a roommate, since I'm so awkward around people, so I settled for a cozy, vintage-like apartment about 5 minutes away from campus.
I was also extremely excited to see Louis, but I was also a bit nervous. I hadn't seen him in person since I visited them on tour a little over four months ago.
Catherine had talked with me and told me that it wasn't a good idea to fall for Louis, because if we broke up the contract would stay in place and it wouldn't be able to be gone until the year was up, according to "legal issues".
So, basically, the contract is till in tact and I haven't told Louis yet. I've been thinking about the right time and the right way to tell him, but nothing has been coming to mind.
I've tried to tell him a few times over the phone, but then I realized that it would probably be best if I told him in person.
I packed the last t-shirt that was in my closet into the box before sighing to myself in satisfaction.
The whole room looked so empty.
I called Aryanna earlier and asked her if she could bring her pick-up truck in front of the dorm building so I wouldn't have to call a moving truck, and she happily obliged.
As soon as she got here, she sent me a text, and I began bringing the boxes down the stairs and into the back of her Ford truck. She got out and helped me, which made it a whole lot easier and quicker to get everything out of the dorm.
I returned the key I had to the office in my dorm building before going back outside to see that Aryanna was leaning against her truck, on her phone.
"Okay. So, I'll drive to the building in my car and you can follow me in your truck, because I don't know if you know exactly how to get there. It only about 5 minutes away, so it shouldn't be much of a trouble to get there," I explained and she nodded before we both got into separate vehicles. As soon as I watched the building I've called home for the past year get smaller and smaller in my rearview mirror, the more I realized how much I was going to miss living there and living with Aryanna.
However, this is what I needed. I couldn't keep being dependent on someone else to help me with food and shelter and bills.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I'm actually being dependent on Louis for food and shelter. I mean, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have near as much money as I do now.
Oh my god. Am I a gold digger?
No, no. I was technically forced into this. If I had the decision with how everything was going to go, this contract wouldn't even exist. It's freaking stupid.
I pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex and Aryanna's truck soon pulled in next to my car.
"Alright, the sooner we start, the sooner we get done, right?" I asked and Aryanna nodded. A few days earlier, I had gotten my key and information all set, so all I had to do was physically move into the apartment.
