Louis POV
I sighed as I waited inside my flat for the car to come pick me up and bring me to the airport.
The same car that was taking Lisa to the airport.
And apparently, Catherine ordered Lisa to come out of the car, knock on my door, and take me back to the car so paps would believe we're still together. Even though I wish we were.
But I just couldn't bring myself to tell her that. I would not let her know she won. Even though she did, because I miss her like crazy.
I heard a light knock on the door and I immediately stood up, after grabbing my duffel bag, before I ran to the door as fast as I could.
I opened the door and there stood Lisa, looking beautiful in jeans, a hoodie, and a messy bun up in her hair. As soon as she looked at me, I could see something in her eyes that I had never seen before.
I couldn't tell what it was, and that sort of worried me.
Lisa smiled before pulling me in for a hug. I immediately hugged back as I could hear camera clicks all around my front yard. But I didn't really care.
She let go before chuckling slightly.
"Hey," she said and I smiled before grabbing her hand. We walked towards the car, blinking rapidly as a way to rid the camera flashes from hurting our eyes. Soon, both of us were in the car and we began towards the airport. And after going through another pap-fest at the airport, we were on a private jet to Los Angeles with all the other lads and their girlfriends.
After putting my bag on the seats opposite of us, I sat down next to Lisa who had her knees pulled up to her chest as she looked out the window. I crossed one leg under the other as I played with the fabric of my sweatpants.
"So," I began before Lisa looked in my direction.
"Oh, I didn't realize you were there, sorry," she said and I chuckled.
"It's fine. Uh, I was wondering if you still wanted to talk? Yesterday on the phone you said you needed to talk about something," I told her and she began picking at her black nail polish that had been on her finger nails since the day we broke up.
I didn't want to think about it. I didn't want to think about the fact that we were no longer really together. I wanted to be with her again for as long as possible.
However, almost every time I think about her and what we had, all I can see is that dumb contract I was forced to sign.
"Well, I kind of have a lot to tell you," she said quietly as I watched her blink away a layer of tears.
"The flight's about 12 hours long, so I'm sure we've got time," I assured her and she opened her mouth to speak but the muffled voice of the intercom interrupted her and told us that the flight was leaving soon and that we needed to put on our seat belts. Lisa mimicked my position with my legs crossed before she pulled the seatbelt over her lap and connected it with the other side.
"Okay, so I'm sure Harry already told you about my car and my phone, which he happily obliged to fixing both, or at least helping to fix both, but I'm not sure what else he told you," she said. I almost considered telling her that I knew about what else had happened.
Almost.
She would kill Harry if she knew that he told me what happened.
I shook my head as a signal that I didn't know anything else. She nodded in response and began playing with the fabric of the socks that were covering her feet.
