Louis POV

Right after Lisa got in the car to change, my phone began ringing.

"Hello?" I said into the device.

"Mate, where are you?" Harry said on the other line.

"I'm at the meadow right outside of town with Lisa, why?" I asked and he sighed, in relief, I hope.

"No reason, it's just the next morning and you're not home," he said.

"Okay, listen. I've got a question," I told him.

"What is it?" he responded.

"Is a month and a half too early to love someone?" I asked and he inhaled slowly.

"Um, I think that time shouldn't matter, the feelings do," he said.

"I know, but I've only known her for a month and a half, could I?" I asked.

"It's possible, maybe she won't feel it back right away, but she eventually will. I mean, she really likes you, I can definitely tell you that," he responded.

"I know, but feelings like that don't just come this quickly," I said back.

"Well, it depends. Some people, take you for instance, think that it should take at least, let's say, five months. But, love is a magic that can't be controlled, it does what it wants, when it wants," he said and I nodded.

"Okay, but I still think I should wait. I mean, love is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right," I responded. Then, I thought I heard a door close.

Shit.

"Listen, Harry. I got to go, we'll be back in a couple hours. Bye," I said quickly and hung up the phone.

I began pacing behind the car and rubbing the back of my neck, a nervous habit I picked up from Harry.

She probably heard me! What if she did?

She'll think I'm fucking crazy.

I began breathing quickly, afraid of what would happen if she found out. She definitely doesn't feel the same way back, she hated the idea of being forced to date me in the first place! Shit, Louis. Keep your act together, breathe, brea-

"Lou?" a feminine voice asked behind me.

I turned around and saw Lisa with a worried expression written over her features.

"Yes, love?" I asked her and her cheeks tinted a pale pink and I smiled.

"Are you okay? You look, I don't know, scared...?" she said, it sounding more like a question.

"Uh, yes. I'm perfectly fine. Yeah, I'm fine," I said nervously and she walked towards me.

She put her arms around my neck and gently pecked my lips. She directly pulled me into a hug afterwards, running her hand through the hair on the back of my head.

"Good, I would be terrified if something bad were to happen to you," she said and a spark of hope lit up in the pit of my stomach.

Maybe she does, just a small bit, feel the same way.

"Let's start back home, then we'd be back around 7:45-ish," I said and she let go of me and nodded.

When she started walking back, I had perfect view of all the thin, fresh scabs on her left wrist.

"Love," I said and she turned around.

"Yes, Lou?" she asked.

"How many times did you cut?" I asked and her face paled and she looked down.

"I don't know, eleven or twelve," she said so quietly, I could barely hear her.

I walked over to her, put my hands on her cold cheeks and said, "I want you to tell me, right away when anything like this happens, okay?"

She rested her hands on my waist and said, "I promise."

I placed a quick kiss on her cheek before we both got in opposite side of the car.

I looked to my left and saw Lisa putting her hair up in a messy bun, and she looked fucking adorable every time she did it.

She always looks adorable.

*2 1/2 hours later*

I pulled into the driveway of the flat I share with Harry only to find out that Lisa is asleep next to me.

I got out and jogged to the other side of the vehicle, opening the door and picking Lisa up bridal-style.

A small snore escaped from her and she cuddle up closer against me which just further proved my point.

Everything she does is adorable.

I knocked on the door and Harry opened it a few seconds later.

"Aw, look at the two lovebirds," he said, still in his pajamas with, what smells like bacon, cooking in the kitchen.

"Yeah, hi," I said and placed Lisa on the couch after walking inside the flat.

"Oh, hey, Brooke," I said to the brown-eyed brunette sitting on the kitchen counter in grey sweats and one of Harry's black sweatshirts.

"Hi, Louis," she said and smiled warmly.

I heard movement coming from the living room and then a scream.

"Louis!" Lisa screamed and ran in, hugging me tightly.

"What is it, love?" I asked while chuckling lightly.

"There was a man outside your window, he held up a phone and mouthed 'check your texts' and when I did, I saw this," Lisa rushed out and handed me we phone and I gasped reading it.

'I now know where you are, don't think I won't come after you, or your lover. For he caused someone else that was close to me pain, and trust me. Neither of you should've done what you did.'
