Lisa POV
"She's waking up," an unfamiliar, feminine voice said.
"Oh my god, that scared me to death, Lisa," I heard someone else say, but this voice was one I had heard so many times before.
Harry?
I opened my eyes completely only to see that I was surrounded by white walls and medical equipment.
Was I in a hospital?
"What happened?" I asked and my mind was instantly filled with all of yesterday's events.
My phone won't turn on.
My car broke down.
Louis broke up with me.
I was raped.
Everything came back at once, and it completely overwhelmed me. I let the tears flow down my face as I covered my face with my hands.
"Where's Louis?" I asked Harry once I had calmed down a bit.
"He's at the flat, I can call him if you wa-"
"No! No, don't call him. He wants nothing to do with me and I don't want him to know anything," I cried and a doctor walked in directly after.
"Oh, good. You're up," the doctor said and walked closer to me. When he reached his hand out near me, I flinched back.
I don't want anyone to touch me ever again.
"I'm sorry. How's your head?" he asked and right then, it began to feel like someone was stuck inside my head and was trying to pound their way out.
"It hurts," I said quietly.
"That doesn't surprise me. The giant bruise on your head doesn't look painless," he said and I smiled sadly. I don't think I'll be happy again without Louis.
Then you'll never be happy again. Louis doesn't and never will want you, the voice inside my head said.
I squeezed my eyes shut as I let more tears fall.
"Can you just take me back to my apartment?" I asked Harry.
Why was Harry here, anyways?
"Ye-"
"We have a few more test results we need to go through. With the incident you were involved in last night, we had a few tests that needed to be taken," the doctor interrupted Harry and I nodded before he left.
"What happened? All I know is that I saw your car on the side of the street, then I looked around and saw you lying unconscious in the middle of an alley. I've never been more confused," he said and sat down on one of the chairs.
"Nothing really important," I said quietly.
"Nothing really important? Lisa, you're in a hospital," he said and I groaned and put my head in my hands again. I just wanted to get home and sleep forever. I couldn't find a single reason to wake up. After a few more minutes, the doctor came back in with a clipboard in his hand and a smile on his face.
"Alright, so there wasn't anything wrong with your head, or anything else," he said and cleared his throat before continuing, "but you're allowed to get dressed and go home. Just make sure to put some ice on that bump on your head."
"Alright, thank you," I said and he left, leaving Harry and I alone in the room.
"So you found me in the middle of the street and took me here. So that's why you're here," I explained to Harry, but mostly to myself.
