Lisa POV

I smiled as I stood up for the boys. They won yet another award and I was extremely proud.

However, I couldn't focus completely. I honestly didn't even know what awards they won.

I had my mind wrapped around something else.

David's phone call.

While we were in the car, I ended up answering the phone, because I needed to hear what David had to say about this whole thing.

He actually said something I didn't expect at all.

He said he had absolutley no idea John was planning on doing what he did until it was actually done. He said he was sorry way too many times, which I simply brushed off. What did David have to be sorry about?

The whole phone call situation seemed a bit shifty to me. I honestly didn't know what to think.

The awards show soon ended, and the boys decided not to stay for the after party. They were all too tired and had something going on early the next morning, so they skipped it.

As soon as we got back to the hotel, I collapsed on the bed.

"I'm so tired," I groaned as I covered my face with my hands.

"Jet lag is going to kill us," Louis muttered as he walked into the bathroom, carrying a pair of boxers and a white t-shirt with him. I mentally decided that it was a good idea to change into pajamas, so I walked over to my small carry on and pulled out a blue tie dye shirt and a pair of pajama shorts.

As soon as Louis came out, I went in. I quickly changed into my comfy clothes and put my hair up into a ponytail. I took off my glasses and removed all my makeup before putting them back on. I walked out to find Louis already lying in bed. His back was facing me, so I assumed that my side of the bed was the one I was currently closest to.

I layed down and took off my glasses before setting them on the bedside table. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep but I simply couldn't, knowing the one I love most is not even a foot away from me, and I couldn't wrap my arms around him and hear his heart beat.

After feeling the intense awkwardness get even more awkward, I sat up, picked up one of my pillows, and stood up to walk to the couch. As soon as I began walking, I felt a hand grab my wrist.

"Where are you going?" a very tired sounding Louis asked.

"I-I was going to sleep on the couch. I could almost feel you not wanting me there," I admitted as Louis pulled me back to the bed.

"I was just very tired and wanted to lay down as soon as possible. I don't mind us sleeping in the same bed," he said and I felt a pain in my chest.

Just a little over a week ago, he was missing my presense and wanted nothing but to sleep with me in his arms. Now he just doesn't mind us sleeping on a king sized bed on opposite sides with our backs facing each other.

It hurts.

Nonetheless, I nodded and got back in bed. I lay back down in the position I was in before and actually tried to go to sleep. I gasped slightly when I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist and pull me closer.

"I guess I couldn't help myself."

Butterflies erupted in my stomach as he whispered the last simple sentence. However, it was hard to enjoy the moment as much as I wish I could have.

All I could imagine was John's hands roaming my body, touching me in an unpleasant way.

Just by reminiscing on that experience, my eyes began to water as my breathing seemed to quicken. I couldn't help the small sob that escaped my mouth.
