Chapter 26[x]

Lisa POV

I yawned and checked the time on my phone, seeing that it was 11:57 PM.

Only three minutes until I turn twenty years old.

Oh yes.

I know, it's my first year of college.

No, it's my first year here at Manchester University.

I took my first year in Lancaster, while Aryanna took her first year in California, San Diego State University, I think.

We both tried out to win a scholarship, and we both won, and I had never been so happy in my life.

11:58.

I heard footsteps but thought they were Aryanna's because she wasn't in her bed.

I thought I heard someone whisper, then someone else 'shh' and then silence.

11:59.

I got up and went to the bathroom quickly before checking my phone again.

12:00.

I walked into the kitchen and turned on the lights before having confetti thrown up in the air above me.

"Surprise!" six people yelled as I was engulfed in a group hug.

"Oh my god, guys! You're all so sweet," I laughed.

After they all let go, they each picked up a present from the table behind them and held them in front of themselves.

"Hmm, I'll do yours first," I said to Niall, who was at the end of the line.

I tore open the pink wrapping paper to find a box.

I opened the box to find another box.

And another.

Another.

And another.

"Seriously, Niall?" I asked and opened it again only to find another box.

After three more boxes, I found a small brown paper bag.

I opened the bag and found another small box. I opened the box and gasped.

"Oh my god, you shouldn't have," I whispered.

It was the most gorgeous bracelet I had ever seen in my life. It was all diamonds except for a small pale coral bow with a diamond in the center.

"Niall, it's beautiful," I said whilst pulling him in for a hug.

"Well, you only turn twenty once. We want to make this as amazing as possible," he said as he kissed my cheek.

Next was Liam.

"Here you go, I know it's not much, but I knew it would mean a lot to you," he said and I opened the envelope. I screamed before literally jumping on him from hugging him so hard.

"Oh my fucking god, this is just, I can't believe this! You're so amazing!" I screamed and he hugged me back.

"I knew you'd love it," he said and chuckled.

I pulled away and looked at it again in disbelief.

"What is it?" Aryanna asked, grabbing Liam's hand.

"Aryanna, we're seeing Taylor Swift, front row seats in February!" I exclaimed and she widened her eyes.

"No fucking way, how many tickets are there?" she asked.

"Three, Liam. Do you want to come?" I asked.

"Well, I thought the third ticket could be for Louis, because you guys are kind of a thing," he said shyly.

"Liam, how much did these cost?" I asked.

"Cost doesn't matter, I want you happy on your twentieth birthday," he said.

"I don't want you all to spend so much on me," I said.

"Trust me, you're worth it," Zayn said before handing me his present.

"I don't really know so much about you, but I got you something based on what I know," he said and I tore off the colorful wrapping paper and put the bow on the counter.

I took out the object and saw it was a book.

'The Fault In Our Stars' to be exact.

"Oh, thanks," I said. I already had this book, and I've read it a million times, but he didn't know that.

He chuckled before saying, "Open the book, there's more," he said and I opened it and gasped. Again.

"'Lisa, I was so glad to hear that you love my books! I can't wait to hear more about you and your wonderful life in the world of reading! Stay amazing. Your favorite author, John Green'! Oh my goodness, Zayn! This is so, oh my god, best birthday ever so far. Thank you, so much," I said before pulling him in for a hug.

"Hey, that's what friends are for," he said and let go from the hug.

"Hey, we went out of order. Here's my present. I know it's like nothing, but I'm not a millionaire pop star boy band member. But, this is to go along with something I got for you a while ago," she said while handing me a bag.

I gasped and said, "Yes, he'll love it. Chansley," I called and in walked my little puppy.

"Here you go, boy," I said and handed him the little bone that was in the bag. He took it and went back up on top of my bed and laid down, chewing on the toy.

I walked over to Harry and he handed me a key.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"Our recording studio. Lou told us you make music, so your present is that you get to record it. You're welcome," Harry said with a chuckle.

"Uh, th-thanks," I stuttered. I just don't know if I want people to hear my music yet, I'm not that good.

"You okay?" Niall asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just nervous about the thought of people hearing my music," I said and Louis laughed.

"You're joking, right? You're extremely talented!" he exclaimed.

"Okay, thanks. I'll make sure to use this," I said to Harry and hugged him.

"For you, my lady," Louis said with a bow, handing me the envelope.

"Why, thank you, my kind sir," I said with a curtsy before grabbing the envelope.

I opened it and covered my mouth with my hand.

"Oh, Louis. I- I can't believe this," I said.

"Well, believe it. You and I are going to Paris,"
