Chapter Seventy-Six: Girls Date

Shamie's POV
I'm now in my room, finishing the editing I've started earlier. Si Thea, she's asleep na. Nandito din sya sa room ko. She'll sleep here.
Natapos na akong mag-edit. I set the upload button for tomorrow. Bukas ko sya ia-upload. I was about to lay down beside sleeping Thea whe my phone rang. My boyfriend's calling.
"Hi," bati ko sa kanya in a whisper dahil baka magising si Thea.
"I'm here outside your unit," he said, so I get up to check if he's really there. And he is.
"Hey," I said softly and let him enter inside. He ended the call na din.
"What are you doing here? It's midnight," I said but he just answered me with a kiss.
"I'm here for you. Can I sleep here?" He asked. Akala ko nagjo-joke lang sya, buy he isn't.
"You can't sleep here. All of the rooms are occupied," I said, and that's just the truth. Kung ako lang siguro ang nakatira dito ngayon, he could sleep here. Pero hindi.
"Where will you sleep? Here at the sofa?" I asked, but I gueds I asked the wrong question. Kasi after he heard that, para ngang nagkaroon sya ng idea!
"Yes! I'll sleep here at sofa," he said at humiga pa sya sa sofa. He can sleep nga doon. It's actually a sofa bed. Pero kasi, is he sure? I can't seem to know what is his reason for wanting to sleep here.
"Are you okay? Do you want to talk bout something? Is there something bothering you?" Sunod-sunod kong tanong. Bigla syang natigilan, maybe I asked the right questions.
Umupo sya, so I sat beside him too. I rest my chin on his shoulder and asked the same questions I asked earlier.
"I just miss you," sagot nya, but I can't feel that that's not the answer.
"I miss you too. But you can't fool me, love. What is it? Tell me," sabi ko, and I hope he'll tell me what it is.
"Someone texted me, someone sent me a picture," he said, and I could feel his a bit trembling pero hindi nya lang 'yon pinapahalata.
"Can I see the picture?" I asked, and he just nod as an answer. Kinuha nya yung phone nya from his pocket.
"It's... me,.." I said while looking at the picture of me. An edited picture of me, that's stabbed with a knife on my chest. Technology isn't a joke right now, I really look like I was actually stabbed on that picture.
Thaniel then slid his phone on his pocket again. He's probably worried about me now. He's trembling and so I am.
Did I do something wrong? Have I hurt them? Bakit ganon?
"Police are already investigating. You're company's already working to know who's behind the chain messages. Don't worry too much," he said, trying to calm me down.
"I'm not worrying. Maybe you are," I said, half joking. I'm trying to lighten up my mood now.
"I'll get us some pillows and a blanket. Wait for me," I said and stood up. I headed to my room to grab pillows and a blanket for us to share. If he's going to sleep at the sofa, I will too.
"I love you. And I'll do everything to protect you," he whispered when we're about to sleep.
"I love you. And I'll give up everything just to make sure you'll not be hurt," I whispered when I'm sure he's asleep.
I'm... confused. Ano bang meron? Messages were weird. Thea being here is... a bit weird. The girls are weird especially Erlyn. What else is weird? Pati ba kulay ng panty ko weird na din?
I fell asleep eventually while hugging Thaniel. I just woke up when I heard a giggle behind the sofa. It's not just a simple giggle. It's a loud one.
"Good morning, lovers!" Ers greeted and headed to the kitchen.
She prepared breakfast. I woke up Thaniel so that we could eat together with them.
"You okay?" Thea asked while helping me to pack my things. I'll be going to Chicago na the day after tomorrow. Si Thaniel, he has to go kasi may practice sila.
"Oo naman," sagot ko sa kanya at bahagyang tumawa. I don't want to worry her about the threats I've been receiving.
"Let's go out later madam. I-tour mo ako dito sa Korea," sabi nya.
"I only knew few places, pero sige. Mamayang hapon," sabi ko naman sa kanya and she's happy about it.
When we're done packing, we started fixing up her things and put it inside the extra cabinet I have here in my room.
Tapos sinabihan na din nya sina Des to get ready kasi nga we're going to shop. Random things we would like to buy, tapos ililibre daw nya kami.
They're all busy getting ready. Hindi pa din kasi sila naliligo. I'm waiting here at the living room.
A buzz on the door stopped me from scrolling on to my phone. So I get up to see who it is. But it's not a person. Package ang bumungad sakin pagka-bukas ko ng pintuan. A small box was there, and a letter also.
"Let's go na ba?!" Thea asked, shouting from the door of my room.
Lumabas na din sina Erlyn, Des, Kath and Mars. I told them to wait for a minute dahil may kukunin lang ako sa kwarto ko. They said they'll wait nalang sa lobby.
Pumasok na ako sa kwarto ko and place the box I just received on my working table.
And then lumabas na ako. I locked my unit's door, and then headed to the elevator to go down to the lobby.
Typical friend date. We go to the mall, and then we stop at a shop to buy clothes. Tapos pumunta din kami sa arcade. We rent the karaoke place. Ang saya nilang kasama.
"Something bothering you, Ers? Kanina ka pa hindi mapakali," tanong ko kay Erlyn na katabi ko ngayon.
Kanina pa kasi sya tingin ng tingin sa paligid nya. She looks like she's finding something pero wala naman.
"No, puyat lang," dahilan nya. Parang ewan. Kapag puyat, hindi ba dapat tahimik sya o kaya naman ay papikit-pikit?
She's not like that. Ang gulo naman. It's a bit worrying to me.
Pagkatapos naming magpaka-sawa sa pagkanta, we headed to the movie theater to watch... movie.
And then we headed home after all that. To tell it frankly, hindi ako gaanong nakapag-enjoy. Kasi nga, nababahala na ako sa mga kilos ni Erlyn. It's so... unusual.
Naka-uwi na din kami. They opened the door before letting me go outside first. I don't know why. They really are acting weird.
Pagka-akyat namin sa unit ko, I headed to my room to change clothes. Sila naman, sa living room daw muna sila, magchi-chikahan, lead by the no. 1 chismosa, Thea.
When I finished changing up, lalabas na sana ako para maki-join sa chikahan nila but something caught my eye that eventually stopped me from going outside.
The package na dumating kanina. I almost forgot. Kumuha ako ng gunting para mabuksan ko sya.
It's addressed on me. It is from me. Ang pangit naman ng gift,
