JASON ABSOLUTELY HATES prom season. Most of the boys at Dalton do. It's just dumb because it's so unlike everyone else's proms. First, it's combined with their sister school Crawford Country Day and between the two academies, most of their students are queer, so Jason really thinks it would make more sense to just have their own proms and let their students bring dates, like they did at McKinley. Jason's never cared about their prom. It's the first year he's actually allowed to go now that he's a junior, but he wasn't planning on going anyway. That all changes when he walks into the common room and he sees Sebastian dressed up in a suit and all the Warblers holding roses.

Jason smiles funnily. "What's going on?"

Rather than answer him, Sebastian pulls his guitar over himself and starts playing a song.

"In the morning when I wake, and the sun is coming through, oh you fill my lungs with sweetness and you fill my head with you. Shall I write it in a letter? Should I try to get it down? Oh, you fill my head with pieces of a song I can't get out." Sebastian sings softly, Jeff backing him on guitar and the rest of the Warblers offering up backing vocals.

After the verse ends, Sebastian sets his own guitar down and lets Jeff lead, instead just singing while the rest of the Warblers start handing out yellow roses to Jason.

"Can I be close to you, ooh ooh? Can I be close to you, ooh ohh?"

Sebastian still has a considerable amount of distance between them as he begins the next verse.

"Can I take you to a moment where the fields are painted gold, and the trees are filled with memories of the feelings never told? When the evening pulls the sun down and the day is almost through—oh, the whole world, it is sleeping. But my world is you."

Sebastian finally steps up to him and the Warblers take care of the following chorus. The room is completely serene, the strings of the guitar plucking and the ethereal vocals blending the room into peace. Jason can feel tears building up. He doesn't think he's ever felt more loved in his life. How this man who he has hurt so many times can still do something like this to surprise him, he'll never understand. The lyrics punch at his heart and he wonders just what he did in a past life to deserve the one he has right now.

When the song ends, Sebastian's hands palm his face and he pulls him into a kiss. Jason hums happily, his bouquet of roses falling out of his hands in favor of wrapping his arms around Sebastian's neck.

When they pull away and the room is filled with hollers and applause, Sebastian grins and says, "So Dalton prom sucks, but I was wondering if you wanted to crash McKinley's with me?"

Jason chuckles. "I would love to be a prom crasher with you."

Sebastian grins the prettiest smile Jason has ever seen and pulls him into another kiss. It's not quite the promposal one dreams about and yet, it's completely perfect. Sebastian knows him and loves him and just wants to spend that time with him. He couldn't think of anything more perfect.

Blaine is pissed.

It's his first real prom with Kurt and they're not even going this year. It was a big deal last year, facing his trauma and then supporting Kurt through the whole prom queen fiasco—but this year he's not just someone's date. This is his prom too, and it's been completely sullied by the fact that Brittany is banning hair gel. Sometimes he thinks that girl has it out for him or something. More likely Santana has been whispering in her ear and turning her against him because this is just about the worst thing that has happened to him since he got to McKinley—Jason creeping in on his boyfriend notwithstanding.
