Chapter 4 - Some moments

Chapter Four:

Setting: Kohli Mansion:

In Ranbir's room, he sat on his bed, engrossed in his phone when Pravya stepped out, dressed in her nightdress.

Ranbir: "You can sleep on the bed tonight, and I'll take the couch."
Pravya: "But will that be okay for you?"
Ranbir: "Absolutely! We can alternate. One night you on the bed, and I'll take the couch, and vice versa. Sound good?"

Pravya: "Hmm, not a bad idea."
With a smile, she settled onto the bed and quickly dozed off.
Ranbir couldn't help but admire her as she slept, his gaze lingering on her until he eventually closed his eyes.

Later at night:
Suddenly awake, Ranbir noticed the bed empty. Concerned, he got up to find Pravya.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Pravya was rummaging through the fridge, disappointment etched on her face as she found it bare of her favorite snacks.

Pravya: "Oh no, I'm starving! What should I eat? I can't even cook!"

As Ranbir searched for her, he finally discovered her in the kitchen, looking dejected.

Ranbir: "Hey, what's wrong?"
Pravya: (turning to him) "I'm so hungry! There's nothing to eat, and I don't know how to make anything!"

Ranbir: (surprised) "Seriously? You can't cook?"
Pravya: (pouting adorably) "Nope!"
Ranbir chuckled inwardly, noting how different she was from Prachi, who could whip up a meal in no time.

Pravya: "And just because we look alike doesn't mean I'll behave like her!"
Ranbir blinked, taken aback by how she seemed to read his thoughts.

Pravya: "What do I do now? I'm starving!"
Ranbir: "Calm down; I'll make something."

Pravya: (eyes lighting up) "You can cook?"
Ranbir: "Of course! I'll whip up some white sauce pasta for you."
Pravya: "Yes, please hurry!"
As he cooked, Ranbir skillfully plated the pasta, making it look appetizing.

A Delightful Meal

Ranbir: "Here you go!"
Pravya: (grinning) "Thank you so much, Ranbir!"
She dug in eagerly, her joy radiating as she savored each bite.

Ranbir watched, astonished by how much she could eat despite her slender frame. When she finished, Pravya cleared her plate and approached him.

Pravya: "All done! Thanks again for the amazing dish!"
Ranbir: "You're welcome."
He turned to leave, but she grabbed his hand.

Pravya: "Ranbir..." (She whispered something that made him nod in agreement.)

Late-Night Conversations:

Back in their spaces, they both struggled to sleep. Pravya picked up her phone and messaged him.

Pravya: "Hey, I can't sleep. Can we talk? 🙈"
Ranbir: "You could've just asked me instead of texting! 🤔"

Pravya: "🙈"
Ranbir: "Okay, fine."

They quietly made their way to the terrace, and as they walked, Ranbir inadvertently intertwined his fingers with hers.
She was too lost in the moment to notice until they reached the terrace.

Under the Stars

Once there, they realized their hands were clasped together and quickly pulled apart, blushing.

Pravya: "Wow, it's stunning! This view is so refreshing, right, Ranbir?"
Ranbir: (smiling) "Absolutely."

Suddenly, raindrops began to fall, and Pravya twirled joyfully, embracing the rain. Ranbir, once again finding joy in the downpour, stepped closer, admiring her carefree spirit.
She playfully splashed water droplets onto his face, and in a split second, she stumbled, but he caught her with strong arms.

A Moment Frozen in Time

They locked eyes, lost in the moment as the rain continued to pour around them. Slowly, they moved closer, their lips nearly brushing when Pravya abruptly pulled away, startled by their closeness.

She dashed back inside, leaving a confused Ranbir staring after her.
