“Aw come on, Taeng… don’t be such a sore loser.” Sooyoung popped another peanut in her mouth.
“I’m not being a sore loser. I’m just bored. We’ve been playing for an hour.” Taeyeon held her aching head.
“And you’ve been losing for the last four rounds.” Sunny refilled the empty glass and set it in front of Taeyeon. “Stopping now means you are a sore loser.”
Taeyeon groaned. “My head hurts. Can we just play something else or just talk like normal friends?” She looked around the table.
“Let’s vote then,” Sooyoung said. “Who’s in favor of continuing the game?”
Four hands shot up.
“The people have spoken.” Sooyoung shuffled the deck of cards in her hands.
“You could just choose ‘dare’ or answer the question, you know,” Jessica reached for the chips. “Instead of going for the drink.”
“I agree. Why can’t you just tell us the truth?” Hyoyeon absentmindedly twirled the glass in her hand. “It’s not like we’re asking for you to reveal your darkest most intimate secrets.”
Sunny nodded. “We all basically know your answer anyway.”
“Then why do you ask?”
“We need confirmation,” Jessica said.
