"Good afternoon," Tiffany greeted the young man behind the counter.

"Good afternoon. Ah Tiffany. Taeyeon's not back yet," he said when he saw who the customer was.

"Oh? I thought she'd be done by now." Tiffany checked her watch to make sure.

Taeyeon often accepted house calls, grooming pets at the convenience of their owner's home. It was during one of those jobs that she accidentally saw Tiffany leaving her apartment and caught her red-handed for lying about where she lived.

"She'll be here in a bit. The client's dog is probably giving her a hard time," said the man.

"I'll wait then."

Tiffany went to the sofa and took out her iPad while she waited.

It took nearly half an hour later before a panting Taeyeon rushed through the door with her kit in one hand.

"Hey, Chinho. Did Fany-..." Taeyeon then saw the woman sitting on the couch and immediately stopped talking. "You're here. I'm sorry I'm late and didn't tell you about it. I left my phone here."

"That's okay." Tiffany stood up, pecked Taeyeon's lips then frowned when she saw the messy state her girlfriend was in. "Did you run all the way back here?"

"Not exactly. But those dogs were a handful and I did rush a bit."

"Take it easy. I'm free for the rest of the day. Go finish up."

"Okay. Wait for me?"

"Of course."

Taeyeon went to the back of the shop, stored her kit and tidied up as quickly as she could. After making sure that she had taken all her things with her, she bid goodbye to the other colleagues and pulled Tiffany out of there.

"Sorry you had to wait so long."

"It's okay. Got some work done while I waited. Busy day?"

"Yeah. It's like all the big unruly dogs suddenly needed grooming today." Taeyeon exhaled as she strolled on leisurely, swinging Tiffany's hand. "I miss Ginger. He's so small and so well behaved."

"You'll see him soon enough."

"Let's hope they didn't make a mess."

Tiffany laughed when she imagined what the two small dogs could do to Taeyeon's apartment. She had left Prince with Ginger at Taeyeon's this morning after spending the night there. Instead of wasting time in traffic to go back to her place to drop Prince off before going to work, Taeyeon had suggested that Tiffany let Prince accompany Ginger for the day – to which Tiffany gladly complied because it meant she would have to go to Taeyeon's apartment again to pick Prince up and maybe, just maybe, she could coax Taeyeon to let her stay another night instead.

"Wanna grab a quick bite before we go home?" Taeyeon asked. "Somewhere quiet, please."

"Sure."

Once they were done with dinner, Tiffany drove Taeyeon home and followed her up to her apartment.

"Please let it be okay," murmured Taeyeon before she pushed the door open. "Whew..." she exhaled in relief when she saw that her apartment still look exactly like she had left it this morning.

"Don't cheer to soon. We still have to check your bedroom."

"Oh no." Taeyeon jumped past the two small dogs that had come to greet them at the door and ran to her room. "Yikes."
