You and Me

She got into the car in a hurry with the manager slamming the door close behind her. She sat down and looked at the mob outside the car window. "What was that about, Oppa?" She was only there to take care of some papers - coming straight from the airport - so she was surprised to come out of the building to see the crowd.

"You haven't heard?" The manager who was driving asked. "Check your phone."

She raised her eyebrows then took the pink device out of her bag. The light was blinking. She quickly unlocked the screen and checked the chat room she shared with her 8 members. She scrolled up to begin reading.

Her eyes kept widening and her jaw began to slack as she read the messages. Now she knew why there were so many people in front of the company building. She typed a message.

"Seriously? It got leaked?"

"Yeah." It was Yuri who answered. "Just this morning. By accident."

"How are things at the agency?" Hyoyeon asked.

"Crazy. No wonder there's so many people there. And they look totally mad," she replied.

"Are you okay?"

The last message appeared not long after she sent hers. She inadvertently smiled to herself when she saw the sender's name. "Yeah. I'm okay. I'm on my way home."

A notification popped up in her screen. It was from a separate chat.

She tapped the screen, switching to the other private conversation.

"You didn't get caught in the mob, did you?"

"No. I'm really okay. Oppa got me out just fine. I'm almost home," she replied.

"Whew. Good."

"Are you home?"

"Yep."

"Who else is there?"

"Soonkyu and Hyoyeon. But I think they're going out."

"Oh okay."

A notification from the other chat room popped up so she switched again. After a quick talk with her friends, she locked her phone and got ready to get out of the car.

"Bring me back some ice cream!" The brunette shouted from inside her room.

"Okay!" The blonde replied from the living room as she quickly gathered her stuff, ready to leave the quiet dorm.

She stepped out of the bathroom just in time to see her friend walking to the front door. "And don't stay out too late."

"Yes, Mother."

She shook her head at the mischievous grin and walked inside her room while drying her hair with the towel. She heard the front door slam shut just before she closed the door behind her.

"She's gone?"

She nodded then sat down on the bed next to her roommate.

"Finally!"

She smiled when she felt arms around her and a kiss on her cheek.

"I miss you."

She heard her whisper in her ear. She dropped her towel and turned her head, meeting the pair of waiting lips. "I miss you too." She let her pull her down.

She exhaled when they had finally finished catching up. It was always difficult to find time to spend with just the two of them especially now that they had so many overseas schedules and an impending album release. They were tired most of the time or totally surrounded by fans, managers, staff or members. Sometimes they got lucky and they could share a room while staying at the hotel in another country. Other times they just had to make time, stealing an hour or two by going for a drive or a movie or staying in their room while the others went out. It was funny how she could terribly miss someone who was always with her. She was grateful that their recent unit activities made it possible for a new dorm arrangement that allowed them to be roommates.
