Request: Tony survives Endgame and comes back to Y/N and Morgan

~~~
 The second Tony told you that he had figured out time travel, you knew he was going to go help his friends. And, even with your daughter in the picture, you weren't going to stop him. In fact, you encouraged him when he had brought it up to you.
"I sometimes feel I should put it in a locked box and drop it at the bottom of a lake," Tony expressed, "to to bed."
You sighed slightly as your arm rested along the back of the couch and your fingers gently moved along the hair on his neck. "But would you be able to rest?"
You both knew Tony wouldn't be able to, and you wouldn't be able to either. How could you when half of the universe had disappeared and Tony possibly had a way to bring them all back? Tony had to try. You had to let him try.
So that night, you let your husband lead you up to your bedroom and made love to you.
"I promise, I'm coming home," he whispered once you two were cuddling.
You tried not to get emotional. "Don't make promises you can't keep," you rasped.
Tony moved to hover over you slightly, so that he could look you in the eye. He needed you to know that he was serious. "I'm coming home. To you, to Morgan. You have my word."
You knew he wasn't going to give up until you believed him, or at least made it seem that way. You leaned up and kissed him lovingly. "Okay."
The morning came too soon. Tony packed what he needed in the car while you and Morgan were still sound asleep. He went into Morgan's room and kissed her forehead.
"I love you 3000, Morgan," he whispered.
Tony watched his daughter sleep for a few minutes before kissing her again and leaving to say goodbye to you. You were still out like a light in your shared bed. He smiled lightly as he walked up to you and carefully kissed you, really not wanting to wake you. Cause if you waked, he'd see your eyes and not be able to leave. He knew the risk he was taking, but he had to do it. Tony felt like he owed it to the universe, even though he knew you felt like the universe owed him more.
"I'm coming home to you, honey," he whispered. "I promise."
Waking up with Tony already packed up and gone, hurt worse that you'd care to admit. You understood why he did it, but that didn't make it hurt any less. Morgan was completely confused as to why her father was gone and you had no idea what to tell her. You knew she was a brilliant child, but how do you tell a child that her father figured out time travel and was trying to fix something that happened before she was even born?
"Your father... he..." You struggled to get the words out as your daughter stared up at you with her father's eyes. "Remember how he told you he was a superhero?"
"Yes," the little girl nodded, sitting in your lap.
"Well, he's out with his friends saving the day right now."
"Really?"
"Really."
"What's he doing? I can help!"
You chuckled sadly. "Maybe one day." You tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
"When will he be back?"
"I don't know, sweetie... I don't know..."
Tony was worn out—exhausted. He was currently on his way back to his home that he left three days ago. In that time away, the team had traveled back and retrieved the Stones; Natasha had died; and Thanos from the past had attacked the compound, destroying it. But the Avengers won, though it came at a price.
Tony knew how he must have looked—tired, dirty, and injured. But he had to get home to see you and Morgan. He just had to. The last time he had talked to either of you was the night before they actually time traveled. You looked like you hadn't slept in days, like him, and he felt terrible. He knew you were worried for him but wouldn't beg him to come home, though he wished you had.
Coming around the bend and seeing the house, it was like a breath of fresh air. It was dark, so he was able to see that the lights were on. That you were still up. Glancing at the time along the dashboard, Tony noted that Morgan would probably be asleep. And that would be okay, cause he had to break the new of the losses to you.
He parked the car and hurried up the porch steps. Tony paused when he noticed you in the kitchen, absentmindedly cleaning. He could tell that you were trying to get your mind off worrying, but it wasn't working. He watched as you turned and disappeared some where else in the house. Tony took a deep breath and finally walked in.
"Honey?" He called softly, not wanting to scare you. "Y/N?"
"Tony?" You called. You froze when you first heard his voice, thinking it was your mind playing tricks on you. You slowly walked around the corner. "Tony?" Your husband soon came into view. It was clear that he was injured, dirty, and tired. But you didn't care. He was home.
He smiled, that smile that wrinkled his face that you absolutely loved. "Hey honey."
"Tony!" You ran to him, jumping onto him. He caught you and held you close. "You're home."
"I told you I was coming home, didn't I?"
"Yes." You pulled back and kissed him, hard. When you finally separated, you rested your forehead on his. "I was so worried."
"I know... I was too."
"What happened? Did you do it?"
"We did it, honey. We brought everyone back."
You wanted to be happy about it, but Tony's tone said something else. "What happened, Tony?"
"Red... we lost Red."
"What? No."
"And... Rogers... Natasha died so that we could get the Soul Stone and Steve... he died stopping Thanos and his army."
"Oh Tony." You brought him back into a tight embrace. "I'm so sorry... but I'm so glad you're save."
"Daddy?" Morgan's small voice called from the stairs. You two pulled away to look at her. "Daddy!" She came running towards him.
"Hey sweetheart!" He greeted, picking her up and hugging her.
"You're home! Did you save the world again?"
"Sure did, hun."
"Tell me, tell me!"
Tony chuckled. "Maybe tomorrow. Daddy's tired and just wants to lay down with his girls. How about you go grab your blanket and meet me and mom in our room? You can sleep with us tonight."
"Yay!" Morgan jumped down and rushed up the stairs.
You leaned into Tony's side, not wanting to let him go. "I'm so glad you're okay."
He turned with a smirk. "Always am."
You couldn't help but laugh. "Sure." You game him a peck on his lips. "Whatever you say honey."
