Your newborn baby girl wailed, breaking through the fog of sleep that you felt only just claimed you. You groaned, but before you could move, you felt your husbands hand on you.

"I got this, honey," Tony's sleepy voice wafted through the darkness. He kissed your head. "Go back to sleep."

"You sure?" You asked, silently hoping his was.

"Get some rest. I've got this."

You snuggled back into the bed as Tony slipped out and padded over to the attached room, where your daughter was located. FRIDAY illuminated the room lightly as Tony walked over to the crib.

"Hey, babygirl," he cooed, reaching down and bringing your daughter into his arms. "What do you think you're doing awake?" The baby began to calm, but was still babbling. "Already picking up your daddy's bad sleeping habits, aren't you? Well, we gotta stop that before your momma gets after me." Tony was pacing around, trying to get her back to sleep. "Do you need daddy to sing you a song? I've been practicing in the lab." The baby continued to babble. "I'll take that as a yes."

Tony took a deep breath as he readjusted his daughter in his arms. Then he began to sing softly,

"Dear Theodosia, what to say to you?

You have my eyes, you have your mother's name

When you came into the world, you cried

And it broke my heart

I'm dedicating every day to you

Domestic life was never quite my style

When you smile, you knock me out, I fall apart

And I thought I was so smart"

Tony's soft singing traveled into the next room, rousing you from your light slumber. You lifted your head up and strained to hear his words.

"—lay a strong enough foundation

We'll pass it on to you, we'll give the world to you."

You smiled as he continued singing. You pushed yourself off of the bed and tip-toed over to the doorway. Leaning against it, you watched as your husband paced the room, singing softly to your daughter.

"—Someday, someday

Yeah, you'll blow us all away

Someday, someday"

He sighed, watching as your daughter struggled to keep her eyes open. "You already blow be away, baby," he whispered. "You and your momma."

"And you amaze me everyday, Tones," you whispered, breaking his bubble.

"Oh, honey, did I wake you? I'm so sorry."

"No, no," you shook your head, moving into the room. "Your voice was a nice wake-up call... I did find the song choice interesting. That's not your usual style."

"Well, one of our first dates was to see Hamilton and I remembered listening to that song and thinking that one day I'd sing it to my child. Then when you announced the pregnancy, I got to work."

"Tony," you smiled at him softly. You leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "You are truly an amazing father."

"Only because of you, dear."
