Third person p.o.v

“Someone...please let me out. (Y/n)...where are you…?” The desperate plea of Eri echoed in the quiet room she was isolated in. God knows for how long she had been knocking on the door but with every knock the child felt a wave of pain to her small hands. She leaned to the door, trying to hear if anyone heard her calling for release. In the distance were light footsteps that grew louder, only making Eri back up instantly. The hinges on the metal door undid, only to reveal Izuku standing before her with a small box in hand. In that instant, she screamed at the top of her lungs, hudling to the nearest corner of the room and covered her ears in fear.

“Bad man! Bad man!” She shrieked. Izuku quickly closed the door and went on his knees, dropping the box and holding his hands up in defense,

“No, no! It’s me, Izuku, the good man! Please don’t be scared, Eri.” The boy tried to reassure her, causing the child to stop screaming. Her red eyes looked into Izuku’s eyes, seeing his emerald ones. He lowered his hands and placed them on his lap, keeping the reassurance in his eyes. Eri’s trembling hands wrapped her knees to her chest while her whole body shook too from the intimidation she felt. She witnessed countless times when Izuku snapped at (y/n) and she feared herself that she would meet the same fate.

“Please Eri, I just wanted to talk. I promise that nothing scary will happen.” The boy kept insisting with his scarred hand extended out to her. Eri stared at his hand and backed up at his eyes for a moment in silence.

“Where’s (y/n)...?” Eri asked, pulling her knees tightly.

“She’s sleeping in the room down the hall. I can take you to her,” he reached his hand out a bit further, “may we talk...please?” pleaded Izuku. The child looked between his hand and eyes a few more times before slowly getting up. She took small steps cautiously towards him while she shivered from the cold. Slowly, she reached out her hand only to hesitate for a moment before having her fingertips touch his.

“You’re just like ice,” he pulled away and picked up the item that was in the box, “here. I know it’s not much but it’s the least I can do right now.” Izuku told the girl as he held it in front of her. It was a small fluffy blanket, having one side be a light purple color and the other side be white with extra fluff on it. Eri’s eyes widened a bit and she took the blanket, being mesmerized by the simple item. Her cold hands grasped the blanket as she felt its texture, followed by wrapping it around her shoulders. The blanket nearly touched the floor but it didn’t matter to the girl as she felt comfort...although she couldn't express it.

“Do you like it?” Midoriya asked. Eri nodded but she then looked into Midoriya’s eyes. He tilted his head and raised his brow.

“What’s wrong?” Izuku added on.

“Izuku...why are we here...why can’t you let us go?” Eri's voice shook a bit in fear, hoping that he wouldn’t strike her at the question. The boy was taken back by the question and he looked to his side, thinking of the best way to explain.

“The villains...told me not to leave and to never let you free. They would kill you both in an instant and kill me too. Do you understand?” Midoriya explained it bluntly, tilting his head. Eri nodded her head, looking down a bit in disappointment.

“But hey, let me tell you something, okay?” Whispered Midoriya as he leaned in a bit. Eri’s eyes lit up and she leaned in a bit too, wanting to hear eagerly.

“I have a secret plan for you and (y/n). It’s going to be soon, okay?” He hinted with a small smile. But Eri looked at the ground with a frown upon her face, making Izuku worried.
