3rd Person's POVQuinn came back to their unit with her crestfallen look. No one asked her anymore since they all heard about the upheaval in the right corner of the large room. Their office is an open space that enables everyone to see other units, sundered only by 2-meter tall dividers. Quinn just passed a proposal to the finance, but not the commercial project with Nicole Smith, only to receive shouts and mocks from Mr. Dave who found the format so wrong.
Gabbie approached Quinn when she sat down to her desk to redo the whole process. "What was wrong about the format?" she asked. Quinn looked at her with a guilty expression because she, somehow, knew she botched up this time.
"There is actually a company's standard format that we have to follow but I find it so confusing so I tried to change it this time with something convenient for me since it would make my work faster," she explained. "But I guess it's a big no since the company should stick to rules." She sigh deeply after that, looking so disappointed.
"But he doesn't have to go that far in correcting you," Gabbie retorted, remembering the insults Quinn had to swallow with just a small reasonable mistake.
He really do hate our team, Gabbie confirmed to herself before she returned to her desk.
Lester was also not on his spot since earlier and Gabbie became worried, too. Her team is getting busier though their proper project has not been cued yet. That is because people started to command them anything to test their abilities since no one trusts a team with an inexperienced manager. They wanted to show her that this is no simple job that she chose to clung onto just because she is the wife of Alexander.
But Gabbie is not getting any realization of regret since the challenges they offered only showed her how obnoxious people can get. Nevertheless, she's sorry for her team since they are the ones who are unarmed catching bullets. Maybe the boy had to run errands again that's not included in his line of work. Lester is a nerd boy who would not talk back to anything. That is why, they are treating him a pushover. Gabbie has been asking him to learn to refuse but Lester cannot help it most of the time. He had to follow because he does not know the words related to refusal.
In not so far of a distance, she finally saw him and what she thought just now proved her correct. Lester is in the other department, serving coffees.
This man, seriously.
Lester then went to the finance unit as Gabbie followed her gazes towards him. Don't dare them mock this boy for doing nothing wrong or else Gabbie would stand up alertly.
"I told you I want cappuccino, why is this caramel?!" Here it is, the situation that boils Gabbie's blood.
"I'm sorry, Sir. The orders were a lot. I was confused for a second. Don't worry, I'll change it quickly." The boy then runs away to buy another cup of cappuccino for Mr. Dave, and yes, it's Mr. Dave again. That jackass director!
Gabbie did not have enough time to stop Lester from doing this bullshit because he went away so fast. But when he returned, Gabbie prepared herself to intervene as she stood by the entrance of their unit. If this will get too out of hand, she'll definitely butt in against all odds.
"Here is the cappuccino, Sir Dave," Lester offered the cup and the darn man took it with a bearing that is looking down at him. He sipped the coffee only to throw it all up on the tile which made eyes dart on them. Now is the start of the show that Mr. Dave has been waiting for.
Everyone's attention diverted to them the moment he made that sound of spit. "Did I not instruct you to make the sugar level 25 per cent?! Why is this so sweet?!"
