Chapter 38 - Mr. Fairy

Septmeber 29, 1998

For those of you who doesn't know me, I'm Dylan Eithan Bernardo, and as I start to write this journal of mine, I'm 18 years old as of this time.

The reason I've decided to write something about daily life, is because I've got no one to share it to. I have no friends and I also don't intend to. My parents doesn't even want to talk to me since they're too busy and it's a waste of time for them, as my dad would say. If he wants to talk to me... it should always be about business and no other stuff. Also, it's better to trust no one but you and yourself alone, since in the end... we're bound to die anyway and we can't bring our loved ones. We'll always be alone in the end...

Now, I want to tell you a story about the guy I met yestereday. And, after meeting him, I just wanted to choke and strangle... or stitch his mouth since he doesn't stop talking!

It was almost dusk I was reading a book on top of the mountain since I wanted some peace. I wanted to be away from everybody since it makes me sick to talk or engage with people... as if I hate the world.

I was already having my precious moment  where the cold breeze is touching my face, the view of the sun that was about to set down, the chirping of the birds, and the beautiful scenery, when suddenly, I heard some rustling...

"Judy, Barbara, Gio! Saan na kayo? Yoohoo!"

I heard a guy that was shouting from a distance and his  voice is getting louder and louder.

Just when I was already having my peace of mind, someone just decided to show up... I just wish he'll go the other way.

Then, after 30 seconds...

"Waaah! P*tang ina! Sa wakas! May tao!" the guy shouted which distracted my reading but hindi ko siya pinansin. Narinig ko na tumakbo siya papunta sa akin, and that's when he talked to me again, "Boss! May nakita kang dalawang babae at isang lalake na magkakasama na baka nadaan dito? Potek! Nawawala kasi ako! Kanina ko pa sila hinahanap... nagkahiwalay kami! Malapit na kasi mag gabi, baka mahirapan kami." he said as if he was so worried.

However, hindi ko siya pinansin and I kept on reading and didn't even gave a f*ck.

"Boss? Okay ka lang? Narinig mo ba ako? Ah... baka bingi siguro siya?" the guy uttered and I got a little bit annoyed... but maybe if I played as a deaf person, he'll go away, "Psst... naririnig mo ba ako?" he asked again.

Just... continue to ignore him, Dylan, and everything will be fine...

"Kawawa naman ako... napapagod na ako... hayst! Bakit ba kasi sumama pa ako dito! Walang hiya naman! Sana nagtrabaho na lang ako!" he exclaimed and sat down beside me, "Alam ko hindi mo ko naririnig, pero paupo sa tabi mo ah? Napapagod na ako kakalakad."

Then he sat down beside me. The nerve of this guy! Is he asking for a death wish? He doesn't even know me, yet he still plays so cool? At sa tabi ko pa siya mismo umupo!

"Haay... nasaan na kaya sila?" he asked and I don't even know where he's looking at since I kept on reading.

Afterwards, bigla niya akon kinalabit, "Uy... okay ka lang ba?" he said, "Alam ko bingi ka... manhid ka din ba?"

I still didn't give a f*ck and still continued on reading. Just don't tell me that he'll be spending the night with me?

"Dito ka lang muna ah? Maggagabi na eh... wala akong kasama. Kahit di ka na magsalita, okay lang... basta may kasama akong tao..." he said and paused for 5 seconds at nagpatuloy ulit siya sa pagsasalita, "P*ta! Baka hindi ka tao! Baka namamalik-mata na ako! O baka isa ka talagang fairy!"
