My eyes shot open and I inhaled a breath I wasn't aware that I had been holding.
"Embry-Lynn!" Remy shouted my name, shaking my shoulders roughly.
I shot into a siting position, my chest rising and falling unevenly and my eyes wide with fear.
Logan, Jean, and the Professor were near the door.
"Remy." My voice cracked. The fresh nightmare I just experienced was making me an emotional wreck.
"Emmy, it's just me, amoureux." Remy murmured, wrapping his arms tightly around me as he sat on the edge of the bed.
"It-It was terrible, R-Remy." I whispered as I shoved my face further into his chest to try to escape the reality of the dream that seemed too real.
"It was just a nightmare, darlin."
I could hear the three near the door as they left.
"Why were they here?" I spoke quietly as my crying and sobs died down. I wiped my eyes and sniffled. I wasn't an attractive crier.
"Because the school was shaking, amoureux. They just wanted to keep everyone safe." Remy brushed a few pieces of my dark hair out of my eyes and damp face.
"I told you this was a bad idea, Remy." What he had just said made me want to cry even more. I'm a monster!
"I'm trying to keep you safe, Embry. You're my little sister and I want to protect you but I can't if its only me against three different people with other mutants."
I sighed and laid back, closing my eyes to try to calm down. I knew Remy was in a potentially negative situation. My emotions were all haywire and my horrid mutation was unpredictable.
"What was it about?" Remy murmured, rubbing my hand gently with his.
"When Victor first got after me." I whispered, looking up to meet his red eyes.
"You've been having the same dream for a while, Em. What's botherin' ya?"
"I want to go back to sleep, Remy." I didn't want to talk about it. It would make bad things happen.
"Okay, amoureux. Sleep well." Remy kissed my cheek before leaving.

THIRD PERSON
The next morning, Remy was lounging around the living room with the majority of the X-Men, discussing small things and exchanging knowledge of the mutual enemies.
"How old is Embry, Remy?" Storm asked. "She can't be old enough to be mixed in with Magneto, Victor Creed, and William Stryker at the same time."
"She's twenty three." Remy answer Storm's question, messing with the deck of cards in his hand.
"When was she first brought to Three Mile Island?" Scott questioned. Remy stopped shuffling the cards and shifted his eyes to Scott, but never moved his head. His jaw locked as Remy sat back in his chair. Remy knew Scott had escaped Three Mile Island because of him and Logan a few years back.
"About thirteen years ago. Her parents hated mutants, threw her out the second she told them. She was almost dead by the time Stryker found her. He told her she'd be treated like a queen where he was taking her. He wasn't lyin'." Remy started shuffling the cards again and sighed. "She was thirteen and naive. He treated her like she was a goddess. While everyone else was being thrown in cells and cages, she was given her own room and anything she wanted, when she wanted. Stryker knew how dangerous she was. But when she turned seventeen, he started experimenting on her-"
