The faint sounds of someone yelling brought me to. I didn't realize I had passed out until then. The last thing I remembered was the woman in the lab coat giving me something a couple minutes after she took blood and then it all went black.

I lifted my head, pain shooting through my neck from my head being in that position for so long. I winced slightly and opened my eyes.

Stryker and the woman were talking, but Stryker seemed to be yelling. Victor stood off to Stryker's side, arms crossed and eyes set on me, a smirk plastered on his face.

I looked away quickly, unable to keep eye contact for much longer.

"But sir, the blood transfusions aren't working. The moment her blood is taken, the mutant cells dissolve. It's like self-destruct." The woman explained. "It's truly unique, though. I've never seen a mutant's X-Gene have self-destruction tendencies."

"How come we're just learning about this! We had the damn girl for seven years before she escaped!" Stryker shouted, pushing things off the table next to me. The beakers and tubes shattered and I flinched when he moved closer to me.

His eyes looked into mine and mine into his. I wasn't going to look away from him this time. But the next thing I did, surprised everyone, including myself.

I spat in his face. He wiped his face on the sleeve of his shirt before slapped me.

"Victor's going to stay here. We'll make use of you until I can get another doctor that actually does productive things." Stryker pulled the gun out of it's place on his belt and shot the woman. I let out a quick scream, the sight of her body dropping to the ground made my stomach queasy. "I do believe Wolverine and Gambit are coming to find you. Might as well add them to the list."

The door closed and I was left with the dead woman and Victor, who smirked as he walked towards me.

"You know, Jimmy would hate to see you all cut up when he gets here." Victor placed his sharp index nail on my jaw, forcing me to turn my head in his direction. "I won't come that close to killing you again, Embry-Lynn. I enjoy playing with my prey before I make the kill. Last time was fun, but it was over too quick." Victor's fingertips ran over the side of my throat and I could feel his nails coming out and pressing into the soft skin on my neck.

I whimpered and tried to move away, but found it useless.

The door swung open and Logan appeared in it, claws out and a cold glare already set on Victor.

"Don't you dare touch her!" Logan growled. Victor chuckled and dug his nails into the skin on my shoulder, the one that was unscarred. I cried out in pain, trying desperately to contain my pain but it didn't work.

My eyes were squeezed shut and that's when it started. Animalistic growls, shouts, and hisses of pain. I opened my eyes to see that Logan had just thrown Victor through the wall, literally.

"Embry-Lynn? Are you okay?" Logan rushed to me and tore the cuffs off with ease.

"Logan." I cried in relief, tears running down my cheeks. Just as he was about to pull me out of the chair, Victor's arm hooked over Logan's shoulder and his long nails buried deep into his stomach.

I screamed so loudly that my ears hurt and my throat burned when Victor threw him back and into the glass cabinets.

Victor's hand quickly slapped over my mouth and I took the time to bite his hand. He growled and flipped my chair back. My head bounced off the ground and I quickly moved out of the way so he couldn't grab me.

My head ached and pounded as I scrambled to get away, throwing the items Stryker had knocked off the table at Victor.

But the shards of glass started to sink into my hands and palms as I tried to get away.
