Third Person P.O.V.

The lights in the hospital continued to flicker as Embry's heart monitor went crazy. She was currently knocked out from the amount of pain medication she was given so the doctors could help her.

Logan was pacing the length of her room outside of the door as the doctors worked.

"What the hell happened, Howlett!" Remy shouted as he came running out of the elevator.

"Embry's okay, LeBeau. That's all that matters." Logan muttered, not bothering to stop.

But Remy wasn't okay with not being told what was wrong with his sister. He grabbed Logan by the front of his jacket and threw the larger man into the wall.

"What the hell is wrong with her?" Remy demanded.

"Magneto showed up with Pyro. The kid went to throw fire at me and Embry pushed me out the way." Logan pushed Remy off him, his claws coming out since he was stressed.

"Excuse me?" The doctor came out of the room, a look of worry on his face. Logan let his claws go back into his arms. "Is Ms. LeBeau a, uh, a mutant?"

"Yeah." Remy noddd.

"Why?" Logan asked with an attitude.

"I'm sorry but this hospital doesn't allow... you people in here. I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"You're fucking telling me that just because Embry's got an extra gene that you're going to deny medical attention?" Logan started to walk towards the doctor but Remy stopped him.

"That'll only spark a riot 'gainst us and them, Howlett." Remy had calmed down enough to stop his friend from hurting the doctor. "Let's just get her outta here."

Logan growled at the doctor as Remy went in to get his sister. The doctor flinched and put his hand over his heart.

"Come on, doc. Get her unhooked from this shit unless you want my friend over there to have a little fun with his claws." Remy brushed Embry's dark hair back and waited for the doctor to get the heart monitor off of her.

"That's fucking ridiculous." Logan mumbled, walking with Remy out of the hospital.

"It's like that round here." Remy said, repositioning Embry's body in his arms.

"The school can help her."

"But that's all the way in New York, Howlett."

"I'm just throwing it out there, LeBeau." Logan leaned against the side of Remy's truck as he put Embry into the back seat. "She needs to have medical attention."

"I'll take care of her like I always do, Howlett." Remy closed the door roughly and turned to Logan with crossed arms. "And since you've been around, she's been hurt more and that brother of your's been finding her more and more."

"If you think that I'd stoop low enough to pretend I liked Embry just so that I could Victor where you guys are, then you're wrong about me, LeBeau." Logan said.

"I see the way you look at her, Logan. I know you're not faking that you like her. At least you better not be." Remy opened the driver's door but stopped again. "If ya want, come back to the apartment to help me back up our shit so we can move before the police find out mutants live in a building mutants aren't allowed in."

Embry's P.O.V.

I woke up feeling someone's fingers lace with my own. I opened my eyes and looked to see Logan was laying next to me.

His brilliant brown eyes looking right back into my own.

"You been worrying me and your brother." Logan spoke softly. "You've been sleeping for almost six hours."

I started to turn on to my side to face him but he stopped me.

"You'll hurt your arm doing that." His arm stretched across my stomach, hand squeezing my hip to keep me on my back.

I looked up at the ceiling. The feeling of someone's eyes on me made me look back to Logan.

My green eyes seemed to get lost in his deep brown ones.

"You know you didn't have to push me out of the way, Embry." He spoke softly.

"I panicked. I didn't think and I didn't want you to get hurt."

"Well now your brother's pissed with me." Logan sighed.

"Oh." I looked back to the ceiling and closed my eyes. "Where is he?" The sound of a door closing made my eyes open.

"In the living room."

I got up with Logan's help since I couldn't put weight on to my arm and went to the living room.

"Hey, amouruex." Remy hugged me tightly, kissing my cheek too. "How's your arm feeling?"

"It hurts." I put my face in his chest and closed my eyes. "Why does everyone hate me, Remy?"

"Nobody hates you, Embry-Lynn." Remy rubbed my back supportingly. "You're just a powerful mutant and people tend to use powerful people for their own purposes."

"Why do I have to be a mutant, Remy?"

"Why do you have to ask so many questions, Embry?"

I rolled my eyes playfully and let Remy go.

"Where are we?" I crinkled my eyebrows as I looked around the living room.

"Oh we're still in New Orleans, just a different location." He replied, moving to sit at the table and play cards.

"What are we doing now?" I asked.

"Well, honestly I'm thinking of taking you back to the school. Me or Howlett'll just have to sleep with you cause you don't get nightmares when you're with someone."

"But I don't want to risk it, Remy." I whispered, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Well what do you want to do then, Embry-Lynn? There ain't a lot of options we got."

"I want everyone to stop trying to kill me! I'm nothing special! I'm just a mutant!" I was getting aggravated with everything and everyone. I stomped my feet as I went for the door, slamming it behind me.

It wasn't the smartest thing for me to do but I needed to get out and get some air.

I apologize for not updating but I'm seriously having worst and worst headaches. :/
