"Professor!" Logan shouted as he pushed through the crowd of students.
Professor Xavier and the rest of the X-Men were gathered at the foot of the stairs, waiting to announce to the student body what was going on.
"Where've you been?" Storm asked Logan as he joined the X-Men.
"Searching for Embry around the school." He spoke, out of breath. "What the hell's going on?"
"Embry-Lynn has sided with Magneto." Professor Xavier spoke heavily.
"What? What the hell do you mean?" Logan looked over to Remy immediately. He kept his eyes on the floor in front of him, a Queen of Spades card floating in and out of his fingers.
"Magneto has managed to persuade her into joining his side." Xavier replied to Logan. "And before you ask that question, Logan, no I will not make her come back here. That would be violating her rights."
"She doesn't know the lies he's feeding her!" Logan declared. "Aren't you going to do anything to help her, LeBeau?"
Remy stayed quiet for a while, but then nodded lightly.
"I'm gonna talk to her."
"First you gotta find her. How're you gonna do that?" Bobby asked.
"She'll call me when she wants to talk." Remy said, looking up from the floor. "And I know my sister, she'll call me soon."
"Hope you're right." Logan mumbled under his breath as he dragged his fingers through his hair.
"You know, Howlett, this is kinda you're fault." Remy stood to his feet, the card in his hand dropping to the floor.
"I did my best to stop him from taking her but he fuckin threw me out a window from four stories up!"
"Enough. Both of you." Xavier spoke. "Fighting will not bring her back. The best we can do for right now is wait for her to call. In the mean time, proceed with your daily duties."
The X-Men exited Xavier's study. Remy was the last one out, but the Professor stopped him.
"Magneto won't hurt her, Mr. LeBeau."
"But as long as she's away from me, Creed can get to her. I ain't wasted years of my life to help her only to have her get her while I'm away."
"She is thankful for everything you've done to help her, Remy, but she needs room to grow. You treat her like a child, frankly—,"
"The way I treat my sister is none of your business." Remy spoke. "And once I find her, we're gettin the hell out of here and leaving the country."
"Creed will just find you again."
Remy left the room, mumbling curse words under his breath.
As he was going down the hall, his phone went off.
Embry's P.O.V.
I watched the street goers around me as I called Remy. I hoped he would answer me.
"Embry-Lynn?" He asked hopefully.
"Hi, Remy." I smiled at the sound of his Cajun accented voice.
"I could just kiss you, Embry-Lynn. What happened? Where the hell are you?"
"Magneto came and took me." I tucked strands of hair behind my ear.
"Is he around you?"
"No. I'm alone."
"Then why can I hear people?"
"I'm calling from a phone booth. Magneto and the others are still at the warehouse."
