Logan and I didn't have a specific location for our date. We were just going to go down to New York City since the school was only three hours from it and walk around for a while until found somewhere that sounded good.

"So we've been together for quite a while." I started, tabbing my fingers against my jean clad thigh as we walked through the crowded street. "It's been what, four months? I still don't know much about you."

"What do you want to know?"

"When's your birthday?"

"Uhh, it's in July. The 26th."

"What year?" I asked curiously.

"1884." He sighed out.

"Mine's November 27th, 1990."

"Does it bother you?" He asked quietly.

"The age gap?"

"An age gap is five years. What we have is the damn Grand Canyon."

"It's only.... 106 years apart."

"Only 106." He rolled his eyes with a playful tone.

"It doesn't bother me. And if it does bother you, then you should fix that because where are you going to find another person that's as old as you?"

He just chuckled a little.

"So since you're.... older than most what all have you done? How much of the world have you seen?" I looked over to him with fascinated eyes. I wanted to hear some of his stories.

"A lot of it." His tone kind of changed as he spoke, eyes drifting to the people we passed.

"What have you done? Have you been to places like Russia or anywhere in Asia? What about Australia? Or Africa? Have you been anywhere in—,"

"I don't like talking about it, so drop it." He cut me off, snappishly.

"Okay. I understand." I nodded my head lightly.

We settled with a cute little diner place and took a seat in a booth against the far wall.

"Could I get ya'll anything?" The waitress spoke with a southern accent as she stood by our table with a nice smile on her lips. She had pretty, curly, bright red hair that I kind of liked a lot. If I could pull off red hair, I would totally do it.

"I'll have a burger with everything, fries, a chocolate shake, and a Coke." Logan told her.

"That sounds amazing. I want that too." I grinned a little.

"Alrighty! I'll be back shortly with your meals."

"That's a lot for a little thing like you." Logan chuckled as he watched the waitress leave.

"Don't underestimate me and food. I like food." I shrugged my shoulders, keeping my eyes on him. "She's cute, isn't she?"

His eyes met mine immediately and he hesitated.

"Should I answer that?"

"Yeah. I don't care if you think she is or not. I think she is. I like her hair. I've always been jealous of red heads, natural or not. Anyone who could pull it off, I'm jealous automatically."

"Hey, Embry. I didn't mean to get snappy earlier." Logan spoke quietly. "I just don't like talking about that."

"I understand." I nodded my head lightly. "But I want to know sometime. Eventually."

"I feel like I'm going to blow up." I giggled as I collapsed on to the bed in a heap.

"Shouldn't have ate all that food." Logan took off his leather jacket and tossed it on to the desk chair.

"But it was so good." I rubbed my belly and closed my eyes.

The bed dipped down under Logan's weight and he laid down next to me. His arm slipped around my upper torso and I was effortlessly pulled to him.

It was around ten at night and the rest of the school was asleep. We were one of the handfuls awake, having just got back from our date.

"I've been everywhere." Logan spoke quietly, hot breath hitting my ear. His hand slid up and down my my side. "I can't remember a lot. When.... When I met LeBeau on Three Mile Island, I was shot in the head and lost my memory. But I get bits and pieces back every once in a while. Xavier told me I served in the American Civil War, both World Wars, and the Vietnam War."

"Oh." That was all I could say at first. "I can understand if you don't want to talk about it."

He stayed silent.

"It makes me feel kind of bad now that I've been complaining to you about my problems when you've been through hell." I turned my head to meet his gaze, my forehead touching his.

"I don't mind. When you complain, I get to make you feel better." He pressed a little kiss to my lips.

Silence enveloped the room and I stayed quiet for a little while.

"Hey, Logan?" I opened my eyes to look at him.

"Hey, Embry?" His eyes opened too and met mine.

"What's your thought on kids?"

His hand on my side began to slowly shift to the middle of my stomach and then he moved it down to my leg.

"I don't think they're right for me."

"Why?"

"I'd outlive them." He replied in a quiet voice. "I'm.... I'm already going to outlive you.... I don't need to add to that."

I nodded my head and closed my eyes.

"What about you?"

"I wouldn't want to hurt them." I moved my head closer to tuck myself under his chin. "So I think we're perfect for each other."

He chuckled softly, fingertips brushing against my skin underneath my shirt.

I felt consciousness begin to slip away and I allowed myself to fall asleep. But just before I fell completely asleep in his arms, I heard Logan say something.

"I think so too." He agreed softly as a kiss was pressed to my forehead.

"Logan, don't mess in that drawer!" I jumped up from my bed and pushed the drawer shut before he could really mess in it.

"Was that black lace I saw?" He smirked, slipped one arm around my waist.

"Possibly—,"

A knock on the door interrupted us.

"Don't open that drawer again." I pointed my finger at him, trying to hide my grin, and moved to open the door.

Standing outside the door was an unfamiliar woman, Storm, and Professor Xavier.

"Ms. Ramsey? This is Embry-Lynn. She was the one who managed to get the intruders to leave before anymore lives could be lost." The Professor spoke to the woman I didn't know, but then he directed his words to me. "Ms. Ramsey here would like to interview you and Bobby Drake about last week's tragedy, Embry."

"Oh. Okay." I nodded my head softly.

"Come with us, please."

I watched as they left and then I turned to Logan. He was looking at me, crinkling his brows together.

"You want me to come with you?"

"Of course." I nodded my head. "I don't know what the hell I'm doing."

First update of 2017!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone makes 2017 whole lot better than 2016 cause damn.

So for Logan's birthday, I've read where he was born in the late 1880s so I kinda might have made that up. I'm pretty sure I did.... Sorry....
