The room erupted in loud cheers and some boos from people who didn't like the football team that had won.
I sat on the arm of Logan's chair. His arm was around me, holding me close while his other hand held a beer.
Most of the students and professors cleared after the game was over but a few stayed.
Scott, Remy, Jean, Storm, and Bobby started a conversation but Logan and I stayed off in our own little world.
"I wanna talk to you about something." I murmured in Logan's ear, rubbing my hand over his shoulder.
"Now? Or is it something to talk about in bed?" He smirked a little and squeezed my thigh.
"We can talk about it now, if you want." I trailed my fingers from his shoulder up his neck and into the edge of his hair. "It doesn't matter. I just want to talk tonight."
"Am I in trouble?"
"No." I chuckled softly, however my smile faded as I looked over to Remy. I didn't want to leave him but he was right about the wrong people knowing we were always together.
"Did something happen between you two?" Logan's side quietly, bringing my attention back to him. I crinkled my brows for a moment until I realized he had meant me and Remy.
"No. No." I shook my head. "I think he's going back home soon."
Logan took in my words for a second before nodding his head.
"Are we going too?"
"We?" I repeated with a little smile that I tried to hide.
"Yeah." Logan nodded his head. "We. I'm not leaving you. We're a team, you and me." He brought his hand up from my thigh to squeeze my hip.
I nodded my head softly, looking back to Remy. Our eyes met and he gave me a wink. I smiled and brought my eyes back to Logan.
"I was thinking we could go somewhere else." I told him.
Logan didn't say anything immediately and instead took a sip of his beer.
"Like where?"
"Like wherever your truck takes us." I shrugged my shoulders lightly as I still carded my fingers through his dark hair. "I don't have anywhere planned. I don't care where. I'm just.... I'm just really tired of having people hurt because of me. And Remy deserves a break."
Logan nodded his head again and leaned over to kiss my lips. I slipped into his lap and tightened my grip on his hair.
"Take it somewhere else, guys!" Someone shouted. It sounded like Bobby. Logan ave him the middle finger in reply and showed no signs of letting me go. But I broke the kiss and smiled softly.

Within a few days, Remy had his things packed and he was ready to leave for New Orleans.
I stood in the doorway of his room, watching as my brother got the last of his things together.
"I'm gonna miss you." I spoke quietly, catching his attention. Remy turned to face me and gave me a little smile.
"M'gonna miss you too, amour. You can always come with me. You and Howlett both."
"I want to do this." I told him, shaking my head lightly. "I'll call you when we make stops."
"Where are you thinkin about headin first?"
"We're heading down through New York." Logan spoke from behind me. I hadn't realized he snuck up on me until he said that. His hands slipped around my hips and he kissed the back of my head. "Get some sight seeing done in New York City before we head towards the Canadian border near Montana."
"You'll be that far away, huh?" Remy sighed a little. He was having mixed feeling about the whole situation, just as I was.
I moved out of Logan's arms and went to hug Remy.
"You'll keep her safe, right?" Remy directed his words to Logan as he wrapped his arms tightly around me. I put my head into his chest, closing my eyes tight as I locked my jaw. I didn't want to cry.
"With my life." Logan replied.
"You stay safe too." I told Remy as I lifted my head from his chest.
"I always am." He chuckled softly. "I love you, sis."
"Love you too, Rem."

Remy left within a couple hours and then Logan and I were getting ready to leave around sundown.
"This place is gonna be quiet without you guys." Bobby said as he gave me a hug. The X-Men and a few other students gathered outside in the parking lot to say goodbye to me and Logan.
"We'll have to come visit in a few months." I told him.
"You two be safe out there." Storm moved to me after she hugged Logan.
"We will be." I told her.
I hugged about seven more people before Logan said something.
"You keep hugging everyone, Embry-Lynn, we'll never make it to wherever the hell we're going." He teased after he threw one of our bags into the cab of his truck.
"You two should get going." Jean said with a warm smile.
I nodded my head and waved to everyone before getting into the passenger seat of the truck.
"Buckled?" Logan asked as he got in to the driver's seat.
"Yes, dad." I rolled my eyes at him and I clicked the buckle into place.

Just a few minutes later, we were on a main road.
"I think this is good for us." I looked over to Logan. "I have a good feeling about this."
Our eyes met but then Logan looked at something out the window beside me and panic filled his features.
"EMBRY!"
Tires squealed, glass shattered, and metal crumbled but I blacked out before I could acknowledge much of what had happened.

Third Person P.O.V.
Remy had just made it to the airport when he received a call. Looking at the caller I.D., he saw it was Logan. That was a little odd to Remy, but he figured Embry's phone had died.
"Hey—,"
"She isn't breathing." Logan breathed out. It sounded like he was doing something that required effort.
"What the hell do you mean, Howlett?" Remy questioned urgently. "What happened already?"
"A damn truck came out of nowhere and plowed into the passenger—,"
"I said I was sorry, man!" Someone in the background shouted.
"Shut the hell up!" Logan growled at the person. Suddenly, Logan let out a sigh of relief but said nothing.
"Howlett! What the hell is going on?" Remy's heart was racing as he listened to what was happening on the other end of the line.
"She's breathing."
