"What do I do, Professor?" I looked down at him.
We stood outside of the living room, talking in private and away from the news reporter.
"You answer her questions honestly. If you need any help, I will assist you. Go on."

"Have you ever been interviewed before, Embry-Lynn?" Ms. Ramsey asked me. She had dirty blonde straight hair and blue eyes. She wore a pair of dress pants and a white button down shirt tucked in to her pants.
"No." I shook my head, turning my head to look in Logan's direction. He stood in the doorway of the living room, one foot propped up against the wall while he watched the reporter.
"Okay. Don't be nervous or anything. But I need you to look at me, sweetie."
My eyes moved back to Ms. Ramsey and I shifted in my seat.
"I'm going to start my questions, okay?"
"Okay."
"Are you a student or a teacher here, Embry-Lynn?"
"Um, I'm neither." I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear nervously. "I'm Logan's girlfriend."
"Significant others of the professors live here as well?"
The Professor began to speak to me via telepathy so I was able to answer the question how he wanted me to.
"The professors live here just like the students. So, uh, having the significant others live here too is best. But not all of them do."
"And I understand you're a mutant too?"
I froze for a moment, unsure if I even wanted to talk about this.
"We're here to talk about the shooting, sweetheart." Logan spoke up, which I was thankful for.
"Of course. My apologizes." Ms. Ramsey looked back down at her notebook. "I understand you and Bobby Drake stopped the intruders from killing more students. Can you describe for me that night?"
I shifted in my seat and lifted my hand up from the arm of the couch to my lap. I didn't want her to know about my mutation, especially with that camera pointing directly at me.
"Um, I was with Bobby in my room watching tv when the lights started to flicker. We went to the door and there were kids running down the hall. Bobby asked one of them what was going on and the kid said that the school was being attacked." I looked over to Logan, who nodded his head for me to continue. My eyes fell back on Ramsey and I kept talking about that horrific night. "Bobby and I split up to try to clear the school and save as many kids as possible—,"
"Now Drake is a part of the X-Men. Why wasn't he with the X-Men that night?" She cut me off.
"He messed up his shoulder playing football."
"Thank you. Continue, please."
"Uh." I brushed my hair back and looked down at the ground. "I took the bottom floor.... I started going to the dorm rooms and checking them for kids. I helped them get out through the windows and-and the whole time the sound of guns could be heard down the hall." I paused for a moment, needing to just breath. The whole incident was still fresh in my mind and I didn't like it. "I remember walking down the hallway and coming to a stop because there was a dozen or so kids on the floor. They.... They were all dead." A hand on my shoulder made me flinch and I looked over my shoulder to see it was Remy.
"Sir, you're in sight of the camera, just so you know." Ramsey said.
"I'm aware." Remy told her, bending over the back of the chair to whisper in my ear. "Just take a deep breath. If you don't wanna do this, amour, don't. Get up and leave."
