Today marked the fourth day the X-Men and Remy had been gone.
I tried to keep my mind off of that and focus on other things, so I followed Bobby to a few of his morning classes then went off to Logan's class. He taught history apparently but he doesn't look like one to teach.
I knocked on the already opened door before walking into the classroom.
"Look who it is." Logan gave me a wink as he looked at me. "What're you doin', kid?"
"I'm bored." I shrugged and went over to his desk.
"Thanks for interrupting my class."
"You're such a flirt, Logan." A girl with brunette hair chuckled.
"Shut up, Kitty."
The kids snickered while I blushed heavily from her comment.

"You don't look like a teacher."
"Well I am."
Logan and I were currently walking towards the Professor's study because he had called for us via telepathy.
"You went to school for history?"
"Not exactly." Logan shugged his big shoulders. "I've lived through a lot of wars. I didn't have to go to school for much of anything."
"Why do you think the Professor wants us?"
"You've been asking a lot of questions recently, kid."
"She does that a lot when she gets comfortable with people."
My head snapped up at the sound of Remy's voice.
"Remy!" I gasped and ran to my brother. I threw myself at him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Easy! Easy!" Remy winced and held my hips so I wasn't leaning against him.
"What's wrong? Did I hurt you? Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry-"
"No, Em. It's okay." Remy kissed my forehead and brushed a few strands of my hair out of my face. "Just a little sore, that's all."
"The Professor wants you all in his study." Storm appeared behind Remy. Her upper arm was bandaged.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I made my way towards Xavier's office with Remy beside me and Logan behind us.
"Have a seat, Remy. You must be uncomfortable." Xavier gestured to the few empty chairs around the room.
Remy took a seat in one and I stayed beside him, not wanting to hurt him.
"So what happened?" Logan asked. He was leaning against the doorway.
"We got to Victor before he could reach Manhattan but we couldn't stop him." Jean replied.
"He hurt you guys, didn't he?" I whispered as I held Remy's shoulder, protectively.
"Its already been done, Embry-Lynn. There isn't a thing you could have done to stop him." Xavier spoke to me softly as I looked down Remy.
"Just a few rib fractures and a broken thumb. I'll be all healed up within three days." Remy rubbed my hand that was on his shoulder.
"Just cause you can heal quickly, doesn't mean its okay for you to go out after Victor." My eyes shifted to Storm's arm. "How bad is it for you?"
"Just a few scratches." Storm shrugged with her good shoulder and smiled. "How was your stay while we were gone?"
