Onika put on her slides and grabbed her car keys, she was beyond hungry and decided to make a quick stop at Walmart, which was just a ten minute drive from her house.

She was way behind on grocery shopping, and now it finally caught up to her, seeing as there was no food in her house and she could swear up and down she was about to die of starvation.

She went outside her apartment, going down the elevator and greeting the few friendly neighbors she was acquainted with.

She then got to the parking lot, she smiled upon sighting her baby-her Honda Civic- she got in and started the engine getting on her way.

When she got there she killed the engine getting out the car and into the shop, there were only a handful of people inside the shop.

There were about ten of them in there, but it was okay considering it was pretty late and normally she wouldn't even be out by this time, if not that she was literally 'dying' of hunger.

She picked up a couple of can sodas, some real food then she decided she was gonna buy a couple of snacks.

She walked into the snack aisle seeing there was only one can of Pringle chips left up on the shelf, she reached out to grab it, but when she did another pair of hands snatched it up first.

She turned around to see the owner of those hands, only to catch sight of the most beautiful and alluring person she'd ever set eyes upon in her entire twenty years of living.

But she didn't care about that, not at this point especially cause she don't play with her chips.

"I'm sure you saw, I was gonna pick that first?!" She said sassily.

"Yeah, but I picked it first, so therefore it's mine!" the mystery person said back matching the exact same amount of sassiness.

"But-.."

"But, nothing finders keepers" the lady said cutting her off and sticking her tongue out at her childishly.

"Listen up, you may be way taller than me but-"

She was cut off by all the lights in the shop flicking off, she looked around wandering the cause of the outage.

While, every one else was in distress, most of them were panicking as the lights kept switching off and on.

The majority of the people in the shop ran up to the front desk, there was a little television in the front and the cashier immediately switched it to the news station to see what the hell was going on.

Everyone in the store was there, including the stores manager who seemed to be panicking a lot, Onika was panicking too but decided not to let it show.

"Breaking news!, There seemed to have been a little problem at a local science laboratory as a chemical was spilled on a little school boy causing him to turn a pale greenish colour and spazz out, biting anyone in his way, and those who have been bitten has contacted the deadly virus, almost half the town has been affected as off now. We are pleading and begging for you all to stay indoors and keep all doors and windows locked, don't go outside no matter what, our team are trying to find a way to get this all fixed up, we will try to keep you all updated on the current situation, I repeat do not go outside!"

As soon as that was said the store manager, passed out making everyone all the more panicked, everyone was speaking over each other making it all worse.

"I can't fucking stay in here, my kids are at home by themselves!!" One lady called out in the crowd, getting ready to walk out through the door.

"I don't think that's a wise idea!" the mystery lady who'd taken Onika's chips said.

"I DON'T FUCKING CARE!" she screamed back walking out.

"Well...she's gone." One girl said.

The mystery lady coughed loudly getting everyone's attention.

"I know everyone is panicked, scared and what not, but right now is most definitely not the time for that, think on the bright side we're all trapped in Walmart for god knows how long at least we have food supplies and other stuff here, yes they're not going to last us that long but it's something so please I need everyone to calm down!"

"As much as I'd love to disagree the mystery girl is right, so please someone should go lock the door and windows." Onika said.

The doors and windows were soon locked, and the lights had already gone out, so the remaining eleven people were sitting around a candle.

Everyone was silent, no one was speaking at all just blank, some were reflecting on their lives, some were trying to call their parents but it was completely useless as there was not one single bar in anyone's phones.

"Let's all go to sleep, and maybe tomorrow morning we can all think about this rationally." the mystery girl said and everyone else nodded in agreement, deciding to just follow her seeing as she was the most calm and collected person of them all.

"I didn't expect the end of the world to happen so suddenly and especially not with me in a freaking Walmart." Onika muttered softly to herself.

"Yeah, me too." she heard from beside her, making her look to see the mystery girl again.

"I wasn't talking to you, chips thief!" she rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, lady short legs." The girl replied back with a stupid smile on her face before turning over to face the other side so she could sleep.

"I'm not short, you're just too tall."

And that was the last words Nicki said before she fell asleep as well.

Well as y'all can see this is something different from what I originally do.

This literally just came into my head, and so I decided to write it, this took a long time to write so if y'all can vote and comment it'd be highly appreciated.

Also y'all should tell me if you want a part two or maybe even three and I'll do it, I already have part two done so it just depends on your opinion.
